"I thought I said I wanted to apologize and then you were like, on the ground and stuff."

"Now I'm not. I do that all the time, it's nothing." He shook his head. No way she cares. No way.

"You're just on the ground, all the time?" She laughed a little, looking confused over at him.

He put his hands in his pockets. "Not specifically. I just break down a lot." Neo shrugged again.

"Hey me..too.." She looked at the ground, shifting her feet a bit.

"A lot of people do. I've had it really bad though since I was a kid. M and Xanthe always had to make up excuses for why I was sleeping and laying down everywhere." He chuckled humorlessly.

"I don't sleep when i'm, well, feeling particularly, down."

Neo hummed gently. "Yeah, that happens. I don't really have a name for it. Either that or I don't remember what it is."

"How do you cope with it? I mean, you're like 6000 years old, it must be hard."

"It is." Neo's voice fell to a deep, rumbly tone again. "I've gotten used to it though. Intense Stress is my middle name."

North nodded and turned to leave. "Oh and uh, if you see M, tell him i'm not mad at him, I was just worried I would ruin his life with well, being me and all."

"How about you tell him yourself? As if he'd forgive you… but… worth a shot."

"I'd rather not. It'd just make it harder to say goodbye again."

"Then what's the point of playing telephone? I could totally warp the message for all you know and he wouldn't know the difference." Neo crossed his arms and sat down.

"You make a good point but I really can't. Please don't be a bitch. I'm actually gonna go now." She said and walked out the doors.

"Restricting yourself won't help," Neo hummed, totally ignoring her request.

"Yeah but would seeing him really help, would it? Because, I don't think it would unless you want me to feel like shit for the rest of my life, which you probably do."

Neo shrugged. "Help in what sense? Help him or you? My answer is both."

North continued walking. "Okay bye. Please, please tell him exactly what I said."

Neo rolled his eyes. "Speak in riddles, return in riddles, Zackary."

He's a god Zackary what did you expect? She closed the doors behind her and went down the hallway.
