"You know why i'm here." She said, looking up at him.

"They're doing fine, North. Cameron's better than he was, Xanthe's a little restless and M's still depressed. Pax is trying to help everyone all at once and is being overworked."

"That's just great isn't it."

Neo nodded sarcastically. "Just fantastic."

North sighed and stared at the ground for a while.

Neo looked back at his desk, which was littered with complicated looking algorithms.

(ok i have to go)
"What are you doing?"

(Bye)

"Work," Neo replied dully.

(sorry im not being here tomorrow either but the rest of the week kind of)
"I didn't know gods worked."

"It's all Gods do, North," Neo replied with a sigh.

North sighed and slid down the wall. "It's really boring here, I don't even know why I come if you're just going to tell me the same things.

"You come expecting something different." Neo leaned back in his chair, yearning to look at the picture hidden away at the desk again.

North didn't say anything but just stared at the ceiling.

Neo shook his head. "Are you just going to skulk here again for another hour like you did yesterday, or do you actually want to do something?"

"Do what?"

Neo rolled his eyes. "Nevermind."

"I'm probably gonna leave now."

"Alright." Neo turned back to his desk, ready to open it again.

"Okay then." She got up and walked towards the door.

Neo shifted around and started quietly opening the desk drawer, willing her to leave faster.

"I can tell you want me to leave. What's so important?"

"I was in the middle of work, and Death'll kill me if I don't get it in," Neo lied easily.

"Hm fun. You're being weird, so, bye." She left the office, closing the doors behind her.

Neo waited a few moments before lifting the picture back out of the desk and turning the back of his chair to the door.
Fun, Neo finally threw you out, Zackary joked and laughed.

Be quiet. Why do you even come if you're just gonna make fun of me?

I was kidding, good Gods. Zackary sighed and she heard him lay down again.
