Alex finished his a few minutes after and guzzled his soda quickly. Then continuing with his unhealthy diet, he dished down all of his fries.

Autumn are her fries at a more leisurely pace, savoring their salty goodness.
Alex ate the fries too fast and started coughing into his arm. "Ah god!" He managed to cough out before grabbing his drink.

Autumn laughed as she saw Alex's problem.
"Nice going there," she teased.
Alex took a drink of the water. "Ahgh thanks, Autumn. I appreciate your efforts."

"What was I supposed to do?" Autumn laughed.
"I don't know!" Alex shrugged. "Not be sarcastic about it?"

"You basically inhaled your fries, and then you literally inhaled one," Autumn pointed out.
Alex waved a hand. "Yeah, and? I'm hungry!" He had to feel defensive; the fries were hella good.

"Yeah, but you inhaled a fry!" Autumn laughed.
"MMmmmmm I just love inhaling my fries, it's my favorite hobby," Alex said sarcastically.

"Alex… I think you need a new hobby," Autumn teased.
Alex snorted. "Yeah, no heck, Autumn."

Autumn chuckled. "All right, if you're done inhaling those fries, we should go get dessert."
Alex pulled out his wallet. "Sounds like a wonderful plan!"

"You should pick this time. Surprise me," Autumn said with a grin.
Alex pulled out his credit card. "Hmm… there's a great cheesecake place somewhere near here."

"I said to surprise me!" Autumn laughed. "You're not very good at following directions, are you?"
Alex blinked at his hands. "But I don't want you to be clueless! That'd give you a sense of fear!"

"…I literally said, 'Surprise me'… Obviously, I'm expecting to be surprised…" Autumn gave him a look.
Alex huffed at her. "Fine, even though I'm in the mood for cheesecake, I'll take you somewhere else."

"With cheesecake?" Autumn asked hopefully.
Alex rolled his eyes. “If I took you somewhere with cheesecake it wouldn’t be a surprise!”

"But now I want cheesecake," Autumn murmured.
Alex laughed gently. “Fine, I’ll take you somewhere with cheesecake.”

Autumn grinned. "Yes!"
Alex chuckled. “As soon as we get out of here, that is.”

"Well, then, let's go!" Autumn laughed as she stood.
Alex gestured down at the untaken check. “I can’t leave my card! We have to pay!”
