Alex looked up. "I'm thinking about it. It's a lot different than the rest of the album, I might put it on a deluxe pack or something…"
mOth GIRL COME MORROW I WANT ANOTHER RP WITH YOU
Autumn nodded thoughtfully. "Cool. Sounds like a good idea."
Alex hummed happily. "Thank you."
Autumn finished her fifth piece of cake and stared at the others.
"Which one should I eat next?"
Alex looked up. "The confetti one is really good." He pointed to a white cheesecake with icing and sprinkles.
"Ohh, yeah… I'll eat that, then," Autumn said with a smile before digging into the cheesecake.
Alex glanced back down at the table. The song popped back up in his head and he started humming again.
"You have to record that," Autumn mumbled through a mouthful of triple chocolate cheesecake. She had finished the last piece and was now onto her seventh.
Alex sighed. "Unfortunately I only have the beat. I don't have a set of drums, a guitar, or any of my bandmates. I don't even have lyrics!"
"Well, then wait. I'm sure it'll come to you in time," Autumn said as she glared at the last three pieces of cake on front of her. She was now beginning to feel the effects of eating seven sugary pieces of cheesecake and was sort of regretting eating so much.
Alex faceplanted into the table with a groan. "WhYYYy IS bEIng A MUsCian so HarD?"
Autumn laughed. "Sorry, I can't help you there. I could only tell you about being an actress."
Alex waved his hand at her. "Shuuuhshshshshh."
"What?" Autumn asked, genuinely confused about why he was shushing her.
"Shushusuuhuhsushsuhshshshhhhh…" He waved his hands some more.
"Okay…" Autumn murmured, closing her mouth as she stuck the leftover cakes in her box.
Alex sighed loudly and slowly sat up. "Sorry. I'm going through some things."
"It's fine. I figured you just had a breakthrough or something," Autumn said with a shrug as she finished packing the cake away.
Alex gave her a desperate look. "I wish I did." He sighed deeply. "Sorry to bother you about that. You probably don't care." He gave a slight grin and stood.
"It's fine, really," Autumn assured him with a small smile as she stood as well.
Alex groaned. "Sure it is. It just feels like I get carried away, you know?"
"Yeah, I suppose. But really, it fine," Autumn assured him.
Alex gave a soft sigh and fell silent. He opened the door then walked out with her.
"Should we hail a taxi?"
"Sure. It's probably faster than walking, and I've got to be home soon," Autumn said, lifting her hand to wave one down.
A taxi pulled up and Alex nodded. "Makes sense." He pulled open the door for her.
"Thanks," Autumn said as she slid into the car.
Alex plopped in after her and shut the door. He leaned forward and told the driver where they needed to be, relaxed into the seat then lapsed into silence.
Autumn sighed in (somewhat-)pained silence.
"I think I ate too much cheesecake…" she groaned.
Alex grinned at her. "That sucks. I think you'll feel it more later tonight, though."
"Ugh, don't make me think about that," Autumn moaned painfully.
