Eidus followed Aster out of the house with a jolly look on his face. He knew he could find somewhere private and shift into a horse to get to the town faster but what's the fun in that? It's the journey along the way that's interesting. Otherwise, he wouldn't have come out with the demon in the first place.

Lock followed after the horse, keeping his distance from the rest of the group. He needed to be quick about returning to the estate, but he didn't want to accidentally anger anyone. There would be no harm in splitting from them after they made it to town, right? Surely he coult trust them to behave, especially with Eskja around.
Eskja trailed after them outside, taking a moment to breathe in the fresh air. Eskja made an attempt each day to at least get outside for some fresh air at least a few minutes a day. It was a simple goal - one that she could keep up with, excluding for winter when she felt low energy.
Although the walk to the store would be long, Eskja had travelled much longer in one go. However, this walk would be in human form, so of course it would seem like a lengthier time in terms of travel. It would be faster if she shifted - Eskja realized she hadn’t shifted in some time, months, maybe? Years? - but her dragon form wasn’t very subtle, as she recalled.
Eskja kept an even pace, just enough to conserve energy and keep up with the group.
"Lock, honey, why are you coming? You could just ask us to pick up what you need," Emi said, smiling sweetly at said person. "It would be so much simpler. I know how much it hurts you to be around us, so why don't you just stay here and let us do all the work for you." To tell the truth, she just didn't want the Drus to come along. She hated Lock - which wasn't something to make note of, she hated everyone - but he got under her skin in a way only Harrison and Aster could do.

“I need a change of scenery…” The boy responded, plucking up the courage to look at Emi. Despite Lock usually being a gentle boy, there was a clear fire in his eyes, one that wasn’t there that often. Everyone in the house seemed to forget that poison ran through his veins, and he wasn’t afraid to use it should they threaten him. “And besides, I’m not a child. I can do things myself.”
"Mm. I see. I'm glad you believe that." Unaffected by the look in his eyes, Emi patted his shoulder mockingly. "You just keep telling yourself that. Maybe one day it will be true." She snorted. "Won't that be a day indeed."

Lock smacked the hand that had touched him, his nails cut open her skin. “Don’t touch me.” he hissed, his facial features surprisingly neutral. That was never a good thing. Shoving his hands back into his pockets he walked further ahead, wanting to be as far away from that woman as possible. How dare she touch him…
“Ah ah ah,” Emi chided. Her skin healed instantly, although it left a scar. “Is the little Drus getting testy? That’s not good. I think I need to teach you a lesson, hmm?”

Aster, even with his hands in his pockets, clearly had his sharp claws out. It was more of a defense mechanism than anything but still, he wasn’t going to watch two “family” members fight it out… without him being involved. He turned away, sighing. Again, the path towards the town was as empty as ever. He eyed the members of the weird “family” he was in, locking his eyes on a specific someone… no one normal was in sight.
Yet. He felt something. It was a strange feeling, he had to accept. It was a mild embarrassment which jolted through him without a good reason to. Why… was his face warming up for no reason.

(Nawh..)

(Darn it)
Lock kept his distance from the group, staying a few steps ahead of Aster—who was nearest the front. He despised Emi, and Lock didn't hate people that much. The way she thought she could lay a hand on him and get away with it, it sent a new wave of poison boiling through his blood. Someone needed to put a leash on her, and not in a way she would enjoy.
He turned to Aster, noticing that he seemed a little off character, and whistled to get his attention. "What's got your petals blooming?"
group
“Definitely nothing of your concern—“ Aster immediately responded, turning only the bottom part of his face into his demon form. Thankfully, that helped him hide his reddened face while also looking like a mask rather than a part of his body. He looked down, focusing on the path right in front of him.
Then again… he looked up again at that same person …what is going on with me…

"Sure.. Whatever." Lock sighed, averting his eyes from Aster again. An itch crawled its way up his spine, probably from the encounter he'd had with Emi, but Aster's gaze was always one that also made him uncomfortable. Anything of a demonic nature made him uneasy, it's just how he was.
They neared the town, and a good thing too because he was starting to grow weak. "I guess this is where.." he took a deep breath, rubbing his forehead before smiling weakly. "I'm going to head off.. I'll see you all at home again."
(Ha! Knew it!)
Emi snorted. "You're no fun," she pouted, walking behind them, hands swinging at her sides. She looked nothing like a human, nor did she try to look like one. It took too much effort, and besides, she liked standing out. She waved at the two in front of her, content to be in the back. Maybe she could stab Lock while she was at it.

Now since Lock was on their way, Aster thought that it would be nice for him to return to his full human form. He shook his head a bit, making the mouth coverage he had disappear. And still, he had that darn red color on his cheeks. Curse blood circulation.
Approaching the town, he looked back at everyone who came along.
“Should we just all split up?”
No, don’t do that!! You’ll get separated from her!! (눈_눈)
“I see…” Gavin replied as he hopped down from the tree. He looked relatively young for his age and his actions weren’t at all older than what he seemed. He glanced around, opening his mouth in wonder when he saw a yellow butterfly fluttering around him. Spinning on his heels, he followed the flight of the butterfly and it did end up flying away… which made him sad.
His antenna stiffened a bit. He turned to Harrison.
“Is someone calling you?”
"Sure, why not?" Emi said, shrugging. "I'm just here to look at the dangerous stuff." She smirked, not noticing the blush on his cheeks. She was rather self-centered at times, and she didn't really care how others reacted. "Not sure if any of you guys want to. After all, I'm the bloodthirsty one, aren't I?"
She shook her head, hair falling to cover the side of her face with the red lines. She could make them mostly disappear, and make herself look kind of normal, but she didn't want to. She had the least ability to blend in, in spite of her human-like physique.

No no no no no no, please don’t leav—
“Fair enough.”
GOD DAMNIT BRAIN!!!
Aster was internally confused and was a total mess but he couldn’t afford to show it. Not with this many people around. He wanted to just dig a hole somewhere on the sidewalk and bury himself in that said hole, not wanting to be seen again. Why was he, a demon, born with human feelings and a human heart…
“Your hair’s a mess, you know that?” He mentioned, stopping and stepping in front of her to block her way and to help her hair return to its form. It managed to block out some more of the red lines down her face so that’s a plus— wait…
What the fuck am I doing…
Vix went quiet for a minute, trying to listen for whatever Gavin was talking. "I don't hear anything." She said as she tried to listen. "Didn't the others head out, anyways? That means you can have an off day." She offered as she stood up with her now empty coffee cup. "We can do anything you want today!"
(Honestly, that is exactly how my brain works, too XD I'm always cursing at it.)
Emi was about to go when he stopped her. He started to fix her hair, covering more of her face, and she blinked in surprise. Now that she looked closer, she noticed the slight red to his cheeks, and the fumbling movements. She, of course, had no idea what was going on.
"Okay…" she said, a little bit weirded out.
Eskja looked between everyone. She knew there was something going on here..and though Eskja could be caring at times, the feelings she was getting at the moment were not feelings she knew how to deal with. “Sure. I’ll go get my fish,” Eskja said, almost quietly as she slipped away for the time being.
She blended in very well with humans. She sort of had to. When you had a form that was very large and easy to see, especially when you could be going to public places, it was always handy to have a human form that looked mostly human.
As she was walking, she glanced up at the sky. How she longed to open her wings for once and fly, or at least stretch them, but that just wasn’t possible right now. Maybe when she got home she’d try shifting. It had been a long time.

(It happens XD)
Aster turned back towards the town, looking down as the warmth of his cheeks doubled or maybe even tripled. That… what made him do that. He quickly eyed the horse, hoping that they weren’t going to make light of what had happened. After all… this wasn’t him as a lot of the members knew him.
“Well—“ he said as they reached the marketplace where, now, a lot of people were walking around “—I’ll see you all later…” he said that with a bit of regret. Another fifteen minutes or so without having her around, what a shame.
(It absolutely does lol)
Emi blinked after him, a faint expression of surprise on her face. Her mouth stuck open slightly as she stared off at him, watching him go. What was going on? She shook her head, careful not to mess up her hair, and strode in the opposite direction, to the knives area. She drooled over them for a while, staring at the perfect blades, never before been used. If she actually had a license to show that she was of age, she would buy all of them.

“The others….went out?” Harrison’s face paled and his eyes widened. “Where’s Lock?” He scrambled up off the grass and made a run for it down the other end of the garden to where Lock’s plant took up the majority of the bed. No, he wasn’t there.. Damn it!
Harrison made his way back over to Vix and Gavin. “Can the two of you search the house and the rest of the estate for Lock, I need to make a phone call.” The fear in Harrison’s voice was one he had never shown around any of his housemates before. It wasn’t an emotion he was proud of, but he cared for Lock more than anything at this point. While trailing back to the kitchen, he searched his phone for Aster’s contact. If Lock was out in the town, Aster was almost definitely there, and Harrison knew the demon had a phone on him whereas the Drus refused to use technology. He punched the call button and waited for Aster to pick up.
group
Aster felt the subtle vibration in his pocket. He took his phone out, surprised that it was Harrison. What would he want now… wait—
His eyes averted back to the crowded marketplace.
Shit… his irises narrowed as he gritted his teeth. If anything, he’ll have to answer the call first. Which he did…
“Hello, is this Mr. Dale talking? How may I help you?”
Aster, this is not the time!!! Get yourself together!!
