"Well if you'd been paying any attention, you'd have known that I was talking to Raelyn."

Ricarda backed away, knowing full well not to push any further.

"Don't be so hard on him," Raelyn whispered.

Ricarda gave her a silent thanks when he heard that, At least someone has the guts to stick up for me…

"Why not? He's a dumbass that doesn't know simple physics. He's more of a Rebel than a Royal," Camila fired back.

"Im not a dumbass!" Retorted Ricarda all but furious.

"You are!" Camile shot at him. "You don't know anything!"

Ricarda was fuming at that, and was also doing his best not to turn the hallway into an icey skating rink.

Camila read his mind. "I can skate on ice."

Ricarda took a deep breath, "Stay out of my head ok?" he said, trying to stay calm as frost appeared on his face and fingers.

"I'm not in your head. It was obvious what you were thinking."

Ricarda did his very best to keep the frost at his feet in check, "Just stop it" he said slowly, trying to calm down.

"Stop what? Being right?" Camila retorted.

Ricarda flinched at that, ice appearing at his feet. Realizing he was gonna lose it he turned around and ran. Frost lining the halls as he ran, Ice appearing wherever he stepped as he headed for a way outside.

"What's his problem?"
"Camila!" Raelyn said, slapping her best friend. "Ricarda! Wait!" She yelled as she ran after him.

Ricarda pelted down the hall, trying to stay in control as he burst outside, heading for a quiet part of the garden, where all of a sudden everything within 10 feet of him turned into an icy winter wonderland….

Raelyn burst out of the hall, then stopped. "Whoa…"

Ricarda just gaped himself, a little surprised at hiw far it went… great.. my powers are getting stronger…

"Ricarda!" Raelyn yelled out

Ricarda whipped around, immediately scared that she was hurt or frightened.

"Why are you doing this?"

Ricarda sat down.."I wasnt trying to…" he said softly….

"Then why did you? People need to control their powers, Ricarda."

"Every time I get super emotional…." said Ricarda, "This happens" he flung his hands up at the ice around him.

"Well, you need to try to keep your emotions in check. Your mother was the same."

"My mom lost control cause she held it in!" said Ricarda "I'm not gonna let the same thing happen! I just need to figure out how to control my powers without trying to lock everything away like mom…."

"Your mum locked her emotions away because her parents made her think they were dangerous."

"And they can be…" said Ricarda, "But they only get more dangerous if you hold them in,"

"Or they get more powerful. Do you know who my mother is?"

"Uh..no" said Ricarda
