I always like the idea of one person is a pirate and the other person was a person is a prisoner from a recent raid. We can try to turn it into a romance.

Chesh breathed in the sea air. She loved looking out over sea before a raid. It was so peaceful before the madness erupted. She smiled. She loved both the peace and the madness. Chesh looked out upon a ship that sailed about a mile in front of The Zodiac. "Chesh!" She heard Captain Jake yell. She jumped down from the netting along the side of the ship and walked over to him. "Yes Cap?" "Man one of the cannons until we get closer to the ship. Remember what to do?" "Wreak havoc and take a few hostages." Jake grabbed Chesh and gave her a noggie. "That's my girl!" Chesh laughed at this. Jake was like a father to her now. "Jake!" "Okay. Sorry." He said holding up hands defensively but in a joking way. "Go man that cannon girl." He said waving her off. "Yes Captian!" She yelled running off to man the cannon. She had a feeling that this raid was going to be fun.

Jemi looked out to the sea as the harbor became more and more distant. She had a small crew and a large ship to man and she was in charge. Her right hand man, Smith was keeping the ship in line as she took a break to see the ocean. Smith came up to the front deck to check on her. "With all due respect, Captain, I think we need you down here. The crew… They are not as competent as you'd think they be." Jemi rolled her eyes. Of course "Alright. I'm coming." She took one last glance to the sea and saw in the distance, a ship. "Wait. SMITH!" she yelled. "Be ready! We have company!!"

"Fire!" She heard one of the men yell. She fired her cannon right into the hull of the other ship. She heard chaos on the other ship. Perfect. She ran over to one of the grappling hooks and fired it onto the other ship. It clattered onto the other ship and hooked onto the side. It then started pulling the ship towards The Zodiac.
