I'm not… I'm asking if that's actually true… he said, sounding flustered,

He nodded silently, trying to get his blush to calm down.

Skye eventually stopped, and by this time they were in a run-down area across town. Uhm… you're pretty handsome yourself.. he said quietly.

"Wha- n-no, I'm not- you d-don't have to lie-" He stuttered, face flushed.

"I-I'm not…." said Skye, his ears completely flat in embarrassment. If he weren't in wolf form he'd be blushing so hard even his dark skin wouldn't hide it.

He sat quietly, forgetting how to for words. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

Skye winced, but said nothing as he tried to block out the other's mental screaming.

"Oh…u-um, sorry about that…" He muttered, hiding his face in his hands.

"Hey.. I'm the one intruding… no matter how unintentional it is, I should be the one apologizing.."

"No, you can't really control it." He said, shaking his head.

"Yes I can…." said Skye, "How do you think I survive school everyday? heck, how do you think I survive living in the city without going insane??" he said, "I can reach all the way across the city if I was really trying…"

He bit his lip. "Fair enough…?"

"Problem is is I can't seem to figure out how to block you out…" he said, "And proximity doesn't help…"

"Why?" He asked, curious.

"I have no idea" said Skye, quite honestly stumped on that one.

"Okay… are they gone?" He asked, glancing back.

"Never." said Skye, "But we've lost them, for now.."

He nodded. "So we can stop running?"

"For now." said Skye, still waiting for the other to dismount so he could shift.

He got off, muttering an apology.

Skye shifted back, sitting down and blatantly ignoring his leg. "Don't worry about it, just be glad the hunter's slaves didn't catch us.."

"Is your leg okay?" He asked, sitting next to him.

"Nope" said Skye, laughing slightly. "Not much I can do about it though."

He chewed his lip. "I could probably do little mini spell, if you want?"

"Don't bother…" said Skye, "It's not the first time I've been injured… I'm just glad it's not the ribs.."

He blinked. "What?"

"They've been hunting me since before I figured out what I was…." said Skye, "And I didn't figure it out till I was ten."

"You got shot in the ribs?"

"N-Actually yes, that did happen once." said Skye, "But more like found, and physically attacked, s in beaten up. But they took too long and I managed to escape…"

"How are you still alive?" He asked, worried.
