definitely. But I don’t know how you would manage that
He was hopeful that she would come, but nervous that he would get caught.
Outside (O/O closed, stalkers welcome :)
he’s going to work tonight? Or should I come tomorrow? she walked down to the kitchen, staring down at her phone with anticipation for him to answer.
yeah he has a thing with all the guys at his work so I’m assuming he’ll be home around nine which gives us a while.
cool! Is there a window I can climb through or something?
yeah second window on the left. There’s a shed that you should be able to climb up on to get to the window.
He cleaned up his room a bit and opened the window for her.
sweet, thank you. When should I come over? She rummaged through the cabinets for something small to eat. Sounded like she would have to do some climbing today.
anytime before 9 is good
Grayson smiled and leaned back against the wall, taking out his sketchbook and attempting to draw Jasmine from memory.
okay, I’ll go over at seven that was forty five minutes from now, I’ll convince my parents to let you in somehow. She promised, opening a package of pop-tarts she’d found while rummaging.
(Wait is she coming over to his or is he coming over to her?)
(she’s going over to his house to try and unlock his door and help him leave)
(Ohhh okay)
sounds great, see you then
Lee took advantage of the open window and laid down on the ledge, meowing at the birds that would occasionally fly by.
see you then! Once again, she debated whether she should tell her detective dad or not. He could really help, but she didn’t want to make Greyson mad.. she took another bite of pop tart.
Grayson crawled over to Lee and rest his chin on the windowsill. “Don’t be mean when Jass comes over, she’s nice.” He told him, scratching his head.
Jasmine decided against it, reasoning that if something were going on, her dad might be able to put the pieces together enough to understand what was happening. At least hopefully..
Lee turned his head and nuzzled it against Grayson’s hand, purring loudly. “Love you too.” Grayson muttered, kissing his nose.
Close to forty five minutes later, Jasmine stared out of the front window looking towards her neighbor’s house and imagining how she could get to his house and help him out. Would she need a ladder? Could she just help him jump to the shed? This was hard enough, but the fact that she was grounded and had to fly under her parents’ radar only made this whole situation more difficult.
Grayson glanced over at Jasmine’s house, hoping she would come. It was the only thing he had to look forward to.
hey don’t feel pressured to come over, my life is really complicated, it’s okay. he texted on an instinct. She was too good to be true.
Jasmine soon texted back, On my way! Just trying to figure out a way to get out of my house.
oh..okay, wait why can’t you find a way out? Is everything okay?
yeah, everything’s fine. I’m just grounded for being late last night, it’s okay though, I’m still coming over to get you.
oh sorry about that. Good luck then..
He finished typing the text and continued petting Lee.
It’s fine. She stuffed her phone in her pocket and unlock the front door as slowly as possible. As far as she knew, her parents were both unaware upstairs.
Grayson waited for her with Lee. His happiness growing realizing that he actually had someone to talk to.
Jasmine closed the front door softly behind her and made her way towards her neighbor’s house. She couldn’t help smiling with excitement as she jogged across the lawn to the shed Grayson had spoken of.
Grayson saw her out of the corner of his eye jogging around the house. He turned to pick up Lee out of the window so she could get through.
Jasmine pulled herself up the shed, a much more difficult task than she imagined. Once she was up on the shed roof, she stood up looking at the window she’d have to reach. She tried looking through the window to find Grayson.
Grayson turned back to the window and looked down at Jasmine with a grin. “Hey,” he offered his hand to her so she could get up. It was low enough to get up from the shed, but too high to climb back down without going around the entire house.
“Hey,” she smiled back, but but she took his hand, she looked around, “How could we get back down from your window?”
“There’s no problem getting down, it’s just getting back up without someone to help that’s the problem,” he told her, nudging Lee back into the room when he tried to sniff Jasmine’s hand.
“Ohh, Okay,” she grabbed his hand, “Then thank you for the help.” She struggled to pull herself up onto the roof, “I can’t wait for you to meet Francisco.”
