“Fine, fine!” He relented, raising his palms in defeat.
He smiled over at Wilhelm a moment, then looked at the sky again.
“I feel like I shouldn’t be looking at the sun right now.” Wilhelm thought out loud, turning his head partially away from the sky.
"Mm. Then don't." he replied with a shrug. His hands were still folded behind his head.
“Lucky enough, I stopped.” He sallied back, rubbing his eyes. Wilhelm shut his eyes and blinked, trying to rid himself of the spots in his vision.
He chuckled a little bit. "Mhm. Good job." he replied with a quick smile.
“Somehow, I feel like you’re teasing me.” He laughed, picking blades of grass and rolling them in his fingers. “It’s just a sneaking suspicion, I can’t shake it.”
"Mhm. Maybe just a little." he replied, looking over at Wilhelm with another bright smile.
Wilhelm grinned back, barely able to suppress the quietest chuckle. He ran his fingers through his hair, leaving them about halfway through his curls and giving a quiet sigh.
Connor watched Wilhelm for a moment, biting his lip just a little bit. He looked up at the sky again.
“God, I could just fall asleep out here. It’s dangerously quiet, I swear.” He sat up a little, rubbing his eyes.
He laughed a little, closing his eyes. "Mm. The danger o' th' outdoors."
“Truly. I don’t think I often have to actively think about staying awake during the day, but it seems like this is certainly one of those times.”
He chuckled. "Mhm." he agreed, rubbing his eyes with a faint sigh.
“Don’t tell me you’re falling asleep too.” Wilhelm looked at Connor, the smallest smile still on his lips.
(I’m probably gonna go to sleep, gn!)
Connor sighed. "No. No' fallin' asleep."

“Good, good. We don’t need a repeat of last night, do we?” Wilhelm laughed, flicking a bug off of his hand.

He snorted. "Ah mean…ah guess not." Not that I'd mind it too much.

“Not in such a public place.” Wilhelm added, barely thinking about his words before they came out of his mouth. He felt his face go a particular shade of salmon when he registered his own words.

Connor blinked, looking over at Wilhelm with raised eyebrows. "Uhm." He let out a faint laugh. "Another good point."
Wilhelm laughed again, quieter this time, trying to recover from his statement. “Thank you, I‘d like to believe that I’m full of them.”
He snorted a little bit. "Only sometimes, Will. Only sometimes." He looked up at the sky again.
“Oh, come on. Name one bad point I’ve made.” Wilhelm challenged, though he wasn’t able to keep any semblance of a serious tone, and kept cracking smiles.
"Uh." He thought for a moment. "Ah dinnae know yet. Bu' keep in mind ah've only known yeh for a few days noow."
“Ah, fair, fair.” Wilhelm nodded, ruffling up his curls. “I almost forgot about that part, if I’m being honest with you.”
He nodded, letting out a soft chuckle. "Yeah, ah did too." he replied with a shrug, closing his eyes.
Wilhelm tugged at his shirtsleeves, pulling them up to his elbows. “I wonder why that is.”
He shrugged again. "Ah dinnae know." he replied. He sat up a little to sneeze, then lay back down.
“Oh, bless you.” Wilhelm was looking back at the shrubbery again, inspecting its leaves.
