“I figured that you know well enough that you’re not allowed to. Just in case you haven’t, though: if you get sick, I’m locking you out of the dorm and you can’t come back until you’re better.” Wilhelm turned back to Connor, a twinkle in his eye.
Connor stared at Wilhelm for a moment. "Yeh cannae lock me out o' m' own dorm!" he protested.
“Oh, come on! It’s my dorm too, you know!” Wilhelm clasped his fingers behind his head, falling back onto the grass.
"Yeah, bu' 's also mine! An' ah need a place ta sleep!"
“Agh, fine, I guess you can stay. You know I’m just pulling your chain, Connor, don’t you?”

He laughed a little. "Yeah, ah know." he replied, looking over at Wilhelm with a soft smile.

“Ah, good. I’ve never been particularly good at telling when someone is playing along, so I’m sorry about that.” Wilhelm chuckled, rolling his head back.

He shrugged a little bit. "Mm. Dinnae worry about 't."
Wilhelm nodded, but went quiet. He twisted his curls in his fingers absentmindedly, his eyes wandering around the sky.
Connor started to sing again. "Are you going to Scarborough Fair? Parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme, Remember me to one who lives there, For he once was a true love of mine."
(song is Scarborough Fair. There's a billion different versions out there lmao)
He shut his eyes after a bit, letting himself get lost in the sea of quiet noise around him. Sounds went in one ear and out the other, barely registering as anything but just background noise in Wilhelm's head.

He kept singing. "Tell him to find me an acre of land, Parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme, Between the salt water and the sea strand, He will be a true love of mine."

Wilhelm eventually dozed off, forearms blocking the light from his eyes. His chest rose and fell in rhythmic breaths as he napped under the sun.
"Tell him to reap it with a sickle of leather, Parsley sage rosemary and thyme, And gather it all in a bunch of heather, Then he'll be a true love of mine."
He only stirred a little, still fast asleep, surprisingly. One of his arms fell away from his face, though he didn’t seem to notice.
He finished the song, sighing softly. He shook his head a little bit.
Wilhelm groaned, turning his head away from the sun. He rolled onto his side, stirring himself awake.
He glanced over at Wilhelm, sitting up on his elbow.
He blinked the dregs of sleep from his eyes, glancing around the clearing. “I fell asleep, didn’t I? Damn.”
He laughed. "No' fer too long, dinnae worry." He replied with a smile.
Wilhelm breathed a small sigh of relief. “Oh, good. I was afraid that I was asleep for too long, that would’ve been somewhat embarrassing.”
He chuckled. "Mm. Nah, yeh weren't." He replied with a shrug, looking at Wilhelm.
He nodded, picking underneath his nails. “Do you know what time it is?”

“Damn, and I forgot my watch inside.” Wilhelm frowned softly, but he didn’t seem all that upset. “Nevermind, then.”

Connor shrugged. "Mhm. Ah do want ta eat at some point, though." He said, glancing over at Wilhelm.
“Well, sure. You can go now, if you want. I’ll catch up later.” Wilhelm offered. “I’m not super hungry, honestly.”
Connor shrugged. "Alright." he sat up. "Ah might go, then." he replied softly, running his hands through his red curls.
“Sure thing. I’ll see you in a bit, then?” Wilhelm tilted his head, sitting up as well.
