She laughed happily, the first real laugh that almost everyone on this ship had heard from her as Alro gave her a high five. Reva watched him run off and looked over at Jerome, rolling up the sleeve on her shirt so the cuts were showing. One of the cuts was bleeding quite badly, blood running down her arm while the other wasn't as bad, "He got me pretty good here," She pointed to the worse of the two, "I should be fine though."

Jerome nodded in one of those sympathetic ways that told he understood perfectly. He examined her arm closely and looked back at her smiling. "Well like you said, I think you'll be fine. Doesnt look life threatening but it will leave a scar, that's for sure." Looking to the entrance to below the deck Jerome shook his head. "That boy always takes so long when it comes to medical items." Waving his hand for her to follow him he started down below deck.
"Another scar to add to my many," She said, following him below deck and looking at her arm. Her mind started to wander as she looked around below deck for Alro, thinking about the prizes she had won with a smile. Having the captains cabin to herself would be nice, and not having to work would just be an added bonus; not even mentioning the other prizes.

Jerome chuckled while making his way into one of the supplies rooms they used a sort of clinic so to say. "That's just the life of a pirate eh?" He pointed at a stool for her to sit down on. Alro came running in at this point, looking like he had forgotten what he was doing. "No offense laddy, but do something useful and just go get clean water." Jerome said quietly to Alro who nodded and left smiling. Rolling up his sleeves on his shirt he had just put on it showed many scars. Pulling out rubbing alcohol he looked at Reva, "This will hurt a little."
She chuckled, "I suppose it is." Surprisingly she followed his directions and sat down on the stool, making sure her sleeve was pulled up far enough so it wouldn't get in the way before nodding, "I know, I'm not new to cleaning wounds." Reva studied his scars carefully, noticing that he had close to the same number as she had, if not a few more. Shifting around on the stool she gave him one final warning, "I'm no wimp but I'll tell you now, I have a tendency to curse a fair amount when dealing with things like this."
group
Jerome shook his head and grinned. "Don't we all though?" He rolled his sleeves on both arms all the way up to his shoulders showing dozens of scars, "You would think a man like me would be used to this by now." He took a clean rag and poured some rubbing alcohol on it. Taking note of her warning he carefully grabbed her arm and gently set down the rag on the cut. Moving his hair out of his face he watched the cut so he could take rag off when it was time too.
True to her word she cursed quite a lot more than a few times as the alcohol hit her wound. It took all of her willpower not to jerk her arm away but she managed, clenching her hands into tight fists and glaring at the ground instead, "That hurts a tad." She growled between bursts of cursing, hoping that he was done soon.
group
"Oh just a tad?" He asked grinning. Jerome lifted the rag, looking at the cut. It had stopped bleeding so he took the moment to quickly get a bandage and wrap it around her arm and over the cut. Putting away the rubbing alcohol he sat down on one of the others stools by Reva and pulled out a whiskey bottle from his boot, taking a sip.
She scowled at the now bandaged wound and rolled her shoulder, motioning for him to pass the bottle of whiskey over. "So, these prizes that I won, do I get the captain's quarters tonight and two more nights?" Reva asked, trying to take her mind off of the injury and related cursing going through her mind. Alro was still nowhere in sight and for once she was actually partially glad, she was alone with the captain and could finally ask him some of the questions she had for him.

Jerome raised an eyebrow before handing over the bottle of whiskey. "Careful there, you're not exactly you when your drunk, i've noticed that." He said with a grin. Looking off towards the doorway, he yawned. "That's right, captains quarters along with no work, and since you won the fight you get to go with me and Alro on land next time we dock." He cracked his knuckles with a sign of boredom. "Goddammit I swear that boy gets so caught up with things he forgets what he's supposed to be doing."
She let out a small laugh and took the bottle, "I'm aware of how I act captain." She took a few sips of the whiskey before handing it back to him, "Give Alro a little bit of time to goof around and then you can yell at him captain. He's a kid, let him act like one." Leaning back on the stool the best she could, she looked around and focused back on the captain, "What do you guys keep for food around here? I'm starving,"
group
Jerome took the whiskey and chuckled, taking a sip. "He is of the coming age of a man like my father would have said. Thirteen and he stills dwindles around much." He said with a sigh. "As for food, there's bread and cheese in that cabinet over there, the meat is raw and uncooked so I wouldn't recommend it, unless you like it raw, i'm not judging." Taking another sip of the whiskey he pointed over towards a cabinet in the corner.
"Still, he has some time to act like a child," She replied, standing up and stretching her arm before heading to the cabinet. Like he said, there was bread and cheese along with the raw meat. Reva grabbed a small portion of the food for herself and walking back to the stool, sitting down unceremoniously. "So, tell me more about the ship, I've heard the legends but Iother than that I know nothing about it." She said, breaking off a piece of the bread.
group
Jerome eyed her for a second and let out a quiet chuckle. Leaning back he relaxed on the stool. "Ah the legends of the Silver stallion, I see our reputation proceeds to you." He clucked his tongue. "Im sure from what you have heard it seems we surpass over all ships," A glint of disdain was visible in his eyes as he said this. "Truth is, this is a pretty powerful ship, but there isn't really anything special about it, just a good crew." Jerome lied, there was so much more than what met the eyes with this ship. Many had asked him, and he always used the same response, and no one ever figured he was lying.
She let out a small laugh, "I never said your ship surpasses all others." The food wasn't terrible and she nodded ever so slightly, polishing it off in a matter of minutes and wiping her fingers on her pants to clean them, "Another question captain, what about the sirens? What's the story behind that?" His answer to the other question was alright, but she suspected there was something more to the story.
group
Letting out a long sigh, he looked at her with a serious and almost grim look to his eyes. "That is one story there, i'll let you in on something. I will tell you the reasoning of how we got the sirens, but only because your apart of this crew now, which means your trusted. Do not break that trust." Looking away for a split second he looked back with a somehow happy looking emotion on his face. "The reason those sirens are with us, is because my sister along with the rest of those women became broken hearted creatures on this ship itself."
She processed what he said for a moment and tilted her head to the side, confused, "What do you mean? They used to be part of this crew?" Reva shifted around on the stool and tapped her fingers against her leg. This story was quite curious, this was the side of the legends of this ship that no one told about and that she was overly curious about.
group
Jerome messed with his own hair for a minute, seeming to be in deep thought. "You may know, this ship is decades old, my father and his father before that were captains of this ship. As you can guess, many a maidan have faired along this ship, falling for the men here. Only, heartbreak has never been held accountable." He looked her right in the eyes, "My sister had been apart of this crew, she had her heart broken here, like the many other women who are now sirens. Falling to the sea, they became sirens of heartbreak."
"So, don't fall into the water and don't fall for anyone, right?" She asked, raising an eyebrow. In all honesty she was starting to like the captain, though with that new information she was probably going to keep her feelings to herself. "You let your sister get her heart broken? Do you know who broke her heart and you never punished them?"
group
"I wouldn't say don't fall into the water and don't fall for anyone. What I am saying is, don't succumb to the whispers of the sea when defeated, keep strong and learn to get over it. I do after all, plan to fall for someone one day too." Giving an interested look at her, he continued on, "My sister was never a women to listen, like you, but I would say in a cruel way. She fell for a a good hearted lad on this ship, but he refused to be with a cruel women like her, so she had her heartbroken. I knew the lad well, as did my father, but we let him go, we could understand how he felt."
Reva nodded and leaned back again on the stool, "Well, thanks for that history lesson captain, learning about the histories of ships is always fun." She rolled her neck and stood up, pushing the stool out of the way, "I think I'm going to go find something to do now," Glancing over at him she nodded once more and looked around, ready to wander off.
group
Jerome chuckled, "The pleasures is mine." His demeanor changed from a look of seriousness to just a kind and gentle look once more. Getting up swiftly before she could leave, he went to her side and whispered in her ear, "But careful with feelings there, Reva. Things always become ten times more difficult when it comes to feelings." With that being said he smiled at her, and left quietly going up to the deck to some of crewmates.
She froze for a second and shook her head as he left, "Oh I know captain, I know," She muttered, following him back up and heading for her newly earned quarters. As she walked his words stuck in her mind and she wondered if he felt like that towards her. She huffed and stopped right before the door to the quarters, deciding that it was nice out on the deck, staying out wouldn't be too bad and she could go into the cabin any time.

Walking slowly and taking his time Jerome made his way over to John and Alro who were sitting on barrels at the side of the ship. Sitting on a barrel along with them Jerome fake glared at Alro and flicked him on the forehead. "Whatever happened to fetching some clean water boy?" Gasping Alro smacked his own forehead while John chuckled. "So that's what I had forgotten!" John shook his head while slightly smiling. "So I take you were talking with the girl then, Jerome?" Jerome nodded in response. "She is an pretty interesting girl I must admit."
Reva looked around for something to do and shrugged, walking to the opposite side of the ship that Jerome and the others were on and sitting down. She crossed her legs and the pulled out her cutlass, trying to balance it on the end on her finger like she had before. No one seemed to want to talk to her and she was fine with that, even her old crewmates were in their own conversations.
group
Alro had noticed Reva sit by herself and was contemplating whether he wanted to go talk to her or not. Neither John nor Jerome noticed since they were in deep conversation where Jerome was trying to avoid what John was saying. "Tell me Jerome, by honest to lad, i've known you for a while, do you like that girl?" John asked with a slight smile, a little to loud than he should have. "Come on old man, I would never lie to you. Besides, I keep my feelings secret, always have John." He tsked at John. Alro shook his head, grinning wide, wanting to know if Reva had heard.
Her gaze stayed trained on her cutlass she was trying to balance but she heard what they were saying, not very loud, but she heard it nonetheless. A small smile tugged at her lips but she forced it away, wanting to seem like she hadn't heard them. The information made her start to think about it again, making it quite hard to focus on balancing the cutlass and it dropped to the deck of the ship. She picked it up again and started balancing it once more, still trying to seem like she hadn't heard them.
group
Alro was watching with her with a grin, he bet she heard what they were talking about. John and Jerome, who were still deep in conversation, still hadn't noticed she was there. "Jerome, I know when you are interested in someone, boy i've been with you since you were a young lad, dont lie to me." John said with a low voice, still enough to be heard by anyone. "And what is there to hide Old man? My feelings for a girl?" Jerome scratched the back of his neck. Alro grinned widely for a moment, then said something that made Jerome smack him. "But I thought you do like her captain."
Reva could hear their whole conversation and she rolled her eyes, the smile coming to her face even when she tried to hide it. They were talking like she wasn't even there and they were being loud enough that everyone in the world could hear them. A few more failed attempts later she finally got the cutlass to balance on her finger and she laughed triumphantly, their conversation still running through her mind.
group
After smacking Alro upside the head, Jerome scowled at him while John laughed loudly. Alro just sat there, grinning. "Hush boy before I make you." Jerome said with a stern voice, but calm face. Alro looked at Reva quickly, and did a secret thumbs up. "Ah so it seems the boy has confirmed it for you then huh." John said, ruffling Alros hair. "The boy has confirmed what." Jerome said with a huff, shaking his head. Both John and Alro smirked in response.
