She grabbed her cutlass and took a step away from the mast where she was, "He may be the best swordsman on this ship, but I just came aboard, and I can say that I am quite good myself." Her cutlass was the original one that she had stolen when she first became a pirate. It was quite sturdy and she had taken the time over the years to learn everything about the sword and how to use it. "I won't try to hurt you that badly Lemony, though I can't make any promises." She said, a small grin appearing on her face.

Lemony snickered. "Oi, think what ye want lass, i'll be winning this one 'ere." Alro handed Lemony the cutlass he was holding. As soon as he grabbed it, the crewmates around had taken a few steps back away from him. Alro shook his head and whispered. "He isn't the best swordsmen on this ship." He looked at Jerome who secretly shushed him and smiled. "Well then, oh and also, winner gets to go on land with me and Alro when we dock for supplies soon. So let's begin!" He pointed Reva to one side and Lemony to the other. "You have about one minute to ready yourself!"
Reva glared at her opponent before walking to where Jerome had pointed. She flicked her sword through the air a few times and looked up at the captain, "Any places on the ship that we can't go? Or is the crew the barrier?" She asked, her eyes flicking up to the newly repaired mast as she made a plan. Lemony wasn't going to win this, she would make sure of that. Even if he had her caught and could win she wouldn't give up. She didn't care about being able to go onto land with the two of them either, she would go onto land if she wanted and no one would stop her.

"Oh course there are, there is no going below deck." He said while smirking, looking her dead in the eyes. He knew what she was planning, it was afterall how he would win if he were to fight someone. "Over time eventually the crew will start to become the barrier." Alro walked in between the Reva and Lemony with an rag. For what it was, Alro still had a sweet smile, even though two crewmates were about to fight each other. observing them he made eye contact with Jerome. "Are you two ready?"
She stared right back at Jerome and nodded, "Sounds good," She flicked her sword through the air a few more times and shook out her arms before nodding to Alro, "I'm ready whenever, you might want to give old man there some time to warm up though." She said, partially joking and partially making fun of Lemony. A plan was already in her mind and she grinned slightly, knowing that she could win this if she tried.

Jerome silently chuckled, earning a knock it off look from John. He backed away a few feet so he wouldn't be hit on accident, nodding to Alro who had nodded back in return. Everyone looked at Lemony. Cracking his knuckles and standing straight up, he looked like a giant yielding a cutlass. "I'm ready if the lass is." He said with a cold stare. "Okie dokie then, ready, and go!" Alro shouted, he waved the rag and backed away fast.
Reva took a small step forward before stopping, her eyes cold and emotionless. Her sword hung in her hand at her side and she smirked at Lemony, taunting him in a way. He might've looked like a giant but she didn't care, it only increased her chances of winning. The only thing that mattered was that he didn't have the captain's cutlass which could easily kill her. This one could cut and slice, leaving scars but it wasn't poisoned. "I'll let you attack first old man, see if you can hit me." She jeered.

Lemony sent a glare that could send shivers down someone's spine. He wasn't about to let this girl taunt him in any way. The girl had guts to say the least, but that wasn't enough with Lemony. Making eye contact with Jerome, the captain nodded signifying it was alright to start. He rounded the girl, making it a little hard to tell whether he was going to strike her at that moment or not. Going behind her fast enough while she was turning to face him he sent his cutlass towards her.
She grinned when he moved, simply taking a step away to avoid the hit. This was going to be fun. She rolled her shoulders once before attacking, swinging towards his chest and then his sword arm. Reva didn't know much about Lemony's style of fighting but she guessed that he wasn't as quick and precise with his hits as she was. "Nice try oldie, my turn." She said as she continued to attack.
group
Lemony smirked. It was just beginning for him. Blocking all hits from her directly he spun around fast enough to get at least one cut to the sidearm of her. He wouldn't know her exact skills until the fight was nearing the end. That is why most of the crew said he was so good, because he would go slow at first just to observe your movement. "You really wanna try me lass?"
The cut stung but she barely glanced at the it, knowing that it was probably already bleeding and would continue to until the fight was over. She would just have to ignore it and hope that it wasn't deep enough to do any permanent damage. "You want to try me oldie?" She shot back, her grin growing slightly as she quickly slipped around the side of him and swiped at him with her sword a few more times.
group
Getting cut to the side once before dodging the rest Lemony grit his teeth. He had to admit this girl did have some skill when it came to fighting. which was precisely what he wanted. Grinning broadly he slid down to the side past her and went to hit her legs. I refuse to let this girl win. To the side of the fight Jerome was watching with much interest, wondering who he wanted specifically to win.
A triumphant look flashed across her face and her grin widened when she hit Lemony, quickly disappearing when he went for her legs. Reva jumped as high as she could to avoid getting hit but she got nicked anyway, huffing angrily and taking a few steps towards the mast. She bounced on her toes and looked down at the cut, scowling at it like it could fix itself. He was not going to win this fight. She would make sure of that.
group
Watching her get angry only made Lemony the more happy with himself. This girl wouldn't win, he was the utmost sure of it. Looking over to where she was by the mast he had an idea of what she might've been planning. So the girl is going to try using the mast, pitiful. Jumping up to his feet he moved closer to the girl and the mast, looking around for a rope he could grab onto when he needed it. Making quick eye contact with Jerome who seemed to be enjoying this, he smirked at the girl.
"You good with heights oldie?" She asked in a teasing voice, looking back up at him from her wound and grinning. Reva jumped towards him quicker than she thought she could and swiped towards his chest and arms a few times before jumping backwards towards the mst again. Attacking him should give her a small head start, she figured and soon she was scrambling up the mast, her sword resting in its scabbard as she went upwards.
group
Lemony barely had moved in time, otherwise she would have got him bad. Anger was visible on his face by now. Calling him oldie was one thing, most of the crew did in fact, but asking if he was good with heights? That was one thing that shouldn't be underestimated with Lemony. He basically lived on this mast and beams above it. With his cutlass he cut one rope while holding onto another and flew upward onto one of the beams above, waiting for the girl to make it up.
The sight of him flying up with the rope just made her grin bigger. She had hit a sore spot of his with the taunt. Reva continued to climb and soon reached one of the lowest beams, making sure her footing was sound before pulling out her cutlass again. She took a moment to examine her cuts, the one on her arm was bleeding a decent amount so the cut must have been fairly deep the cut on her leg was only bleeding a little, it wasn't that bad but if she got hit there it would be painful. Luckily it wasn't her sword arm that was hit, she wouldn't be able to fight it that one was injured like her other arm was.
group
Lemony examined the girl looking for a weak spot of hers that would help him win this. He knew that if he hit her in one of her cut spots it would be very painful for her, which would distract her enough for him to get her. Hitting her cuts would be unfair, but would ensure his victory. He needed to figure out one thing for sure though, which arm was her sword arm. That would definitely help him in winning. He waited for her to attack first.
"Ready to go oldie? Or do you need to catch your breath?" She taunted, glancing down at the crew below them before looking up at him and rolling her shoulders. Reva switched the sword in between her hands a couple of times as she grinned, the adrenaline coursing through her body making this ten times more fun. She hadn't thought he would come up the mast after her which threw her plan off slightly but she had already fixed it to match the new information. Now she just had to wait for him to attack.
group
Lemony looked down at the crew before, his blood pumping with anger at the girl. John looked up with a calm face, almost looking like he pitied the girl. Watching the girl with close attention he moved swiftly from the beam he was on to one that had been closer her. He could see the arm that he had struck on her waver a little, while the other was more sturdy looking. Gotcha lass. "And ruin the gentleman I am? The lady goes first!" He smirked, "Ye underestimate me with ye jokes there lass!" He shouted, trying to keep calm while watching her.
She took a few steps closer, shifting her footing to make herself more balanced, "Don't call me lass oldie, or I'll have to start breaking out the real taunts." She said with a smirk, looking down at the crew for a moment to try to throw him off before stepping onto the same beam that he was on. It looked like this beam hadn't been damaged with the cannon shots and she was thankful for that, falling onto the deck of the ship from this high up didn't sound fun.
group
Noticing how she needed the balance made him smirk more. He was very good and quick on his feet, he was after all really used to going around on these beams. Just to be sure so he wouldn't risk it he didn't look to the crew like she did. If he wanted to win this he would have to beat her at her own tricks and not fall for anything. Running smoothly across the beam towards her he went for her leg to get the cut that was there.
She glared at him and jumped backwards a step, pulling her injured leg behind her other one slightly before swiping at his chest. He was taller than her and had longer arms so his sword nicked the side of her injured leg, making her suck in a quick breath. Most people would probably shy away from the person that was attacking them but she did the opposite, slashing and going for his arms and chest fiercely, hoping that she would get a few good hits in.
group
Her impact sufficient damage to him. He earned a few cuts here and there but not enough to really hurt him. Knowing that he had a advantage on her because of his height and size he took the moment to swipe at her from afar knowing he could nick her and she couldnt reach him. This was good for him because he knew his chances would be higher in winning now. The only problem was moving as fast as her since she was so small compared to him.
He once again nicked her and she got another cut on her arm, causing her to growl lowly. A small grin tugged at her lips and she advanced towards him again, her blade flashing in front of herself quickly as she tried to get a few more hits in while also pushing his back towards the edge of the beam. She couldn't tell if the crew was watching or not but she didn't care, she would fight like her life depended on it either way.
group
She was pushing him to the edging of the beam, and he was getting angry. A few more hits impacted him but only with blunt force. The girl confused him however. The captain before had done this and Lemony had been apart of it before. This girl though, she fighted as if her life depended it. Others had just merely given up half way, deciding it just wasn't worth it. Looking down at the captain quickly, he could see a look of interest in Jeromes eyes while watching them. With a scowl he set his cutlass down. "I give up, she wins this 'ere fight."
Once she heard him give up she stopped, keeping her cutlass in hand but taking a small step back. She didn't say anything but a triumphant look appeared on her face and she nodded to Lemony, slowly putting her sword away, "Nice job oldie," She said as a joke, heading back to the main mast so she could climb down.
group
"Good enough job 'ere lass!" He called with a growl. Looking down to the deck he spotted Jerome grinning in his direction. They both nodded to each other. The whole crew was cheering in a uproar towards Reva, surprised and impressed that she had Lemony admit defeat. Jerome approached Reva, clearly impressed with her. "Congrats, I hadn't thought you would get Lemony to give up like that."
"You and your crew obviously underestimate me then." She said, grinning slightly, "Now where can I get some supplies to deal with my cuts?" The thrill of winning was amazing and it was a feeling that she loved, it made her quite happy and cheerful, quite different than her usual self. Reva was looking forward to the prize that she won as well, leaning against the bottom of the mast and glancing around at the crew with the grin still on her face.
group
"Sadly we did underestimate you." Jerome said with a flicker of entertainment in his eyes. Alro jumped in and high fived her. "Great job! I haven't seen such a fight since it was John against Lemony!" He said with glee. Jerome chuckled and ruffled the boys hair. "That is true I must say. Anywho, Alro, be a good mate and go fetch Reva some medical supplies." Alro grinned broadly and ran off below deck to fetch the supplies. Jerome held out a hand, pointing in Revas direction, "May I see the arm injuries?"
