"Good I'm the only one you should love," he joked pecking his nose.

"You are." Lucas kissed him back and rubbed at his teary eyes. "Never have, never will love someone as much as I love you."

"I love you too. I'm a mess," he sniffled and wiped his nose.

"I'm probably more of a mess than you, to be honest, love." Lucas sighed, burying his face in Nick's chest.

"I can only imagine." he kissed his forehead and rubbed Lucas's back. "If you're tired you can sleep."

He nodded a bit and closed his eyes, struggling for several minutes before falling into a light sleep.

He looked down and smiled. "We'll figure this out…" he whispered and kissed his forehead. He didn't fall asleep because he was wide awake. It was only the morning after all.

Lucas didn't sleep for long. He awoke after about half an hour and yawned, huddling closer to Nick.

"Hey, sleeping beauty. How did you sleep?" he whispered.

"Mmm… fine." Lucas mumbled, yawning a bit. "I wasn't out too long, was I?"

"No, only half an hour. Sorry again for yelling at you. I just needed to get that out I guess? I don't know. Just know that I'm sorry," he smiled for a second and kissed his forehead.

"It's okay, love… I'm not mad at you." Lucas said softly, looking up at Nick. "I love you."

He nodded quietly. “I-If you say so…I feel like ruined something. Are you sure you’re not made or feeling scared of me at all?” Nick touched Lucas’s cheek.

"No, love. I'm okay. I get it." He kissed Nick's cheek sweetly. "It's fine."

“If you say so…” he smiled softly. “I love you so much I just wish I could see you though,” he rubbed his eyes.

"Yeah…" Lucas huddled closer, sighing. "Maybe we can find some way to fix your sight in the future…"

“Maybe. You know what they said though. This is permanent.” He ran a finger over Lucas’s lips. “I would love for that to happen. Speaking of which your hair has grown a little long. I think you need a new look. For yourself.”

Lucas sighed quietly. He hated getting his hair cut. "I'll get it neatened up for your sake, love, but you know I like it longer in the front. It's easier to spike up that way."

“If you say so. Don’t hide yourself so often okay? Be stronger.” He chuckled. “Don’t make me sing the song.”

"I'm not hiding myself! Well, not with my hair, anyway… and please don't sing the song." Lucas pleaded playfully.

“Alright, Alright….I’ll sing it later,” he teased, he replaced his finger with his lips and sat more comfortably.

Lucas rolled his eyes, but melted into the kiss contentedly anyways. "God knows where I'd be without you, darling."

“Let’s keep it that way,” he laughed. “I love you my little kitty.”

"Love you too, Nick." Lucas blushed at the nickname, huddling closer. "Hopefully we can get you discharged today. I'll stay with you at home until you feel comfortable enough to go to school."

"Well, my wounds still haven't healed yet." he kissed his cheek.

"I know, I know… but I can take care of you at home. Wouldn't you feel better sleeping in your own bed?"

“Yeah, it would. Maybe I actually sleep in there,” he whispered. “In more ways than one.”

Lucas blushed. "Love. Not right now. At least wait until you heal for that."

"I know, I know. I'm not that reckless. Well, only if you want me to be," he nuzzled his head in Lucas's neck.
