"For…?" She bit her lip and awaited his answer.
John looked to the side, up, then back. "Must I say..?" He replied sheepishly.
"Not if it makes you uncomfortable," she said softly. That was the last thing she wanted him to be.

Jane opened the door and held it as she waited for John to come in.
He shuffled in, quickly peeling off his coat and smiling like a dork.
She looked at him and put her hands on her hips. "Johnathan André, what do you think you're doing?"
"What?" He laughed playfully, "It's too hot in here for a wool coat!"
"Your eyes," she retorted. "They betray you."
"Well," he purred, stepping close enough to hold her by the hips. "Mrs. André, I should hope you can read me so well.."
She arched an eyebrow. "Mr. André, you're quite an open book." She began to toy with his collar again.
"Am I?" He replied in a bit of a sultry tone.
She smirked. "Quite."
Her husband bent over to kiss her, and quite passionately at that.
"Mmm…" she moaned and kissed him back with an equal intensity.
He brought a hand over her stomach, and parted their lips to speak very softly, "We are going to be the best parents…"
"That these colonies have ever seen," she finished happily.
Her husband's expression softened. "You make me feel things no mortal man can express with words,"
A rouge tinge appeared on Jane's cheeks. "Then don't use words."
Jane's well-built husband swept her off her feet, then. "Fair enough,"
"Oh!" she cried, wrapping her arms around his neck and burrowing her face into his shoulder.
"I won't drop you," he giggled lovingly.
"I know," she replied softly, smiling into his shirt.
He meandered to the guest bedroom, much less ravenous and energetic. If anything, he preferred the time he had to relish her simple existence, nested in the safety of his arms. If he could, he'd have her like this forever.
She curled herself against him happily and briefly closed her eyes. The feeling of his strong arms around her would always be enough.
He pushed open the door with his back, and just a handful of strides before he laid her down onto the bed with an impeccable gentleness. John spent a few minutes just gazing down at his wife. Taking in the fact that.. They were married.
