The Brits were moving camp. They figured that after their attack of the rebels, the enemy would return to bring vengence, and thus it was wise to avoid such an attack. Most prisoners were tied tight and sat on horse-pulled wagons meant to carry pigs. Louis was among them, cramped into a corner.

"Did you?" He asked sweetly, his eyes still heavy with sleepiness.

"I did," she replied, cupping his cheek with her hand.

"Good… mama needs plenty of rest.." he purred.

She giggled, very high pitched.

He smiled and pulled her tight against his chest, "I love you so much!"

She kissed his neck slowly. "I love you more."

All the emotion had drained from his dark eyes, which now stared lifelessly at the events occurring around him.

He began to pet his wife's hair, dozing in a haze of content.

"Mmm…" she moaned softly, brushing her lips temptingly across his skin.

"Jane," John scolded facetiously, smiling. "You're too energetic,"

Heat rushed to her face. "My apologies…" she murmured.

"Nnn, don't apologize." He consoled.

She melted against him and exhaled on his neck. "John…"

"What?" He whispered back, smiling.

The man wiped his nose with a colorless hand. "They're coming for us, right?" He asked morbidly.

Louis nodded a second time. “Oui.”

"We're married," she mumbled against his neck.
