"Thank you so much," Max said, watching as immediately his family walked off to get settled in while he stayed by Audi to talk, "Ria would not stop talking about meeting the princess, I told her you might be a prince instead and she got even more excited." His smile on his face grew and he chuckled lightly, "Now I can bother you even more, and I'm going to at any opportunity."

Audi giggled, and grinned at him. “Well, it’s princess today, for your information. And I’ll have you know that I will be annoying you too!” She was so happy to be finally talking to him again; she had been thinking about him all the time. “How old are you, by the way?” She questioned. “I’m sixteen, turning seventeen in a couple weeks.” She just now realized that she really didn’t know much about this gorgeous boy, and decided right then that now that he was here, she was going to learn as much as she could about him.

@gracehustle

(I'm back for a few days! :D)
Max laughed and nodded, "I doubt you could ever get annoying, but I look forward to seeing you." He smiled and looked at Audi, still captivated by the beautiful girl in front of him, "I'm eighteen as of a few months ago." At the mention of her birthday in a few months he knew immediately that he wanted to get her something, the question was just what.

LeahCat

(Ooh yay! :D )
Audi smirked at him. “You have no idea how annoying I can be. The longest you’ve spent with me was an hour. Just you wait until we’re seeing each other pretty much everyday!” Her face brightened even more as that realization came to her, lips curling into an even wider grin. “Ah, so you’re officially an adult now! How’s that going so far? It’s probably not any different huh? When I turn eighteen Mom and Dad are going to start trying to marry me off, so I’m not looking forward to it. At least I don’t have to rule this kingdom. That’s Cali’s job, oh!” She remembered something. “You have to meet Cali and Indi!” Her eyes scanned the house. “Can you come now? Or do you have to stay and settle in?”

@gracehustle

That smirk still made Max falter every time and he laughed again with a shrug to hide the flutter he felt internally, "I still don't think I could get sick of seeing and talking to you. Turning eighteen didn't really feel any different no, just more pressure to find a nice girl and settle down to inherit the business." He looked back at the house and shouted, "I'll be back in a little bit dad, save me a bed." With a grin of his own he bowed lowly to her and swept his arm out for her to lead the way, "Now I'm all yours. Lead the way princess."

Audi giggled and grabbed his hand, tugging him around the front of the castle. She led him through the main doors, and down a maze of hallways she would be completely lost in if she hadn’t grown up there. Finally they burst into a huge room full of noise, metal clanging and shouts echoing around them. It was their main training room, and all kinds of weapons and shields hung on the walls, or on racks along the outer edges of the room. Two dirty blonde kids, a boy and a girl, were engaged in a sword fight in the middle of the room. The eldest, the boy, managed to catch the girl off-guard, and she fell to the ground, pinned. Laughing, he let her go, and finally looked up.
“Audi!” The boy, Calix, helped the girl, Indi, up, and together they walked over to greet them. His eyes flicked over to Max, whose hand she still held. “Who’s this?”

@gracehustle

"I'm Max, a new metalworker," He introduced himself when the two walked over, a bright smile on his face, "You two must be Audi's siblings, meaning you have to be Prince Calix and Princess Indi, if I'm right." Max didn't make any motion at all to let go of Audi's hand, enjoying the contact. His eyes swept around the room and he seemed amazed at the amount of weapons and how well they were made, admiring the work from afar though since he didn't want to seem rude to walk in and start to look around.

LeahCat

“You are.” Calix sent him a smile. “But please, we hate titles here. Just Calix and Indi’ll do.”
Indi nodded along with him, before she glanced down at their joined hands, a knowing smile on her lips. “So,” she began innocently. “How long have you known our dear Audi here? Seems like you too are already pretty close.”
“Indi!” Audi glared at her sister, who was still grinning knowingly. She turned to Max. “I apologize for her. Despite being almost fifteen years old, she doesn’t seem to know when to shut her mouth.”
Indi shot her a smirk, and even Calix grinned at them, as Audi glared and tightened her grip on Max’s hand.

@gracehustle

Max laughed and squeezed her hand before replying to Indi, a smile on his face, "It's fine, I've known Audi for about two weeks I think." He was excited to be here, and answering questions, even ones that made him blush slightly like this one did, was a fun part of meeting Audi's siblings.

LeahCat

Audi’s siblings definitely noticed the blush, but all they did was smirk, tell him to take good care of their sister, and leave them, heading back to training.
Audi was blushing by then as well, and, biting her lip slightly, she let go of Max’s hand and turned to face him. “Well that was fun.” She rolled her eyes. “I’m sure you understand how siblings can be though. I still have to properly meet them by the way. But if you don’t want to go back just yet I could give you a tour of the castle?” She really hoped he said yes, because she loved spending time with him and otherwise she’d have to go back to her school work.

@gracehustle

"A tour of the castle sounds amazing," He said with a laugh, "And I promise you'll meet my siblings properly sometime soon." Max didn't want to go back to his new house anytime soon, much preferring Audi's company. Not only was she gorgeous with stunning eyes and hair, her personality was amazing, not to mention her heart stopping smirks or when she bit her lip like a few moments prior. He had already fallen head over heels for Audi and he was loving every moment with her.

LeahCat

And there was that gorgeous laugh again. Every time that beautiful sound came out of his mouth Audi fell for him even harder. Not to mention how incredibly sweet and charming he was. God dammit how did she fall in love with someone that fast? How was it possible that she already loved this boy more than anyone she had ever met in her life?
She pushed that thought away though, because god knows what would happen to their relationship if she just came right out with that. Grabbing his hand again, she kissed his cheek, accidentally landing a little closer to his mouth than she intended, and told him, “Well come on then!” With that, she laughed, waved to her siblings, and tugged him out of the room.

@gracehustle

(happy thanksgiving!!)
His cheeks grew red again at the kiss and he laughed as she pulled him out of the room, surprised by the kiss but not objecting to it in the least. It gave him hope that maybe, just maybe, she felt the same way towards him. he wouldn't act on that right now though, it was too soon and he didn't want to ruin this new friendship. "Where are we off too first?" He asked, smiling at Audi and walking alongside her with their hands still intertwined.

LeahCat

(Happy thanksgiving to you too!! Just wanted to let you know that I love this role play so much and it makes me grin like an idiot every time I come on and see that you’ve posted. So thank you for making me smile even if I’m having a shit day!! It really means so much to me!)

LeahCat

“I was thinking the library!” She said happily, entering the maze of hallways once again. “It’s one of my favorite spots in the whole castle! It’s where I go when I need to get away and I can’t sneak out.” Her grin faded for a second before she quickly replaced it. “It’s huge, and it’s the most beautiful thing ever!” She giggled and glanced over at him. “Why’re you looking at me like that?”

@gracehustle

(I love this role play sooo much as well!!! It's one of the few that I look forward to replying too every day :D)
"I'm looking forward to seeing it then," He said, still smiling like an idiot. Max felt his cheeks flush more and he shrugged, still looking over at her with a smile, "I was just thinking about the kiss in the training room."

LeahCat

That comment shocked her into silence, and paired with the blush across his cheeks, she didn’t know what to do. Her own face reddened, and she stared at him, unsure of what was going on. A look from a maid passing by jolted her out of it though, and as her head cleared her familiar smirk curled over her lips. “What about it?” She teased, carefully watching for his reaction. They reached the library, but she paused in the doorway, letting go of his hand. Turning to face him, she folded her arms, holding her smirk steady, waiting.

@gracehustle

Max's face grew deeper red and his smile grew as he watched that smirk appear on Audi's face once again. That damn smirk made it so hard to think but somehow he managed to pry his attention out of his thoughts and talk. "It..it was nice, really nice," He said, chuckling a little and glancing into her eyes. "Audi, can I ask you something?..Actually, nevermind, let's just go into the library," He asked, quickly adding the last part on as he glanced away and felt his ears go red as well. Max thought over what he had just said and internally cursed, wondering why he had almost just risked his friendship with Audi to ask to kiss her.

@gracehustle

(sry its short and it took so long for me to respond, i'm exhausted since I spent the past two days with my best friend (she moved away and I haven't seen her in forever))

LeahCat

(Aww it’s perfectly okay!! I’m so happy for you that you got to see your best friend! I moved about a year and a half ago, and I still miss my friends like crazy. Really glad that you got to see her!!)

LeahCat

His comment made her smirk melt into something more genuine, more pure. Nobody, besides her siblings on the rare occasion, had ever made her smile like this before. “I’m glad you liked it.” Their eyes met and she caught her breath, cheeks flushing. “What?” She asked gently. “You can ask me anything, you know.” Her heart clenched as he looked away, and she silently begged him to look back at her. She noticed his face reddening more, saw how embarrassed the question he was about to ask made him, but she couldn’t help it. “For a boy I’ve only known a couple of weeks you sure seem to get me more than anyone else does. I don’t really know what that means yet, but I do know that I trust you, and that you can trust me. So anything you need to ask, ask. I’ll do my best answer.”

@gracehustle

"Nevermind, it was a stupid question," He replied, reaching up and rubbing the back of his neck, "I know we only met a few weeks ago but I also trust you." Max glanced up and looked Audi in the eyes again, shifting around with a slight smile, "Should we go into the library? I'll think of a better question to ask."

LeahCat

Audi still wasn't satisfied, but she let it go. Obviously he was uncomfortable about it, and the last thing she wanted to was make him uncomfortable. So she let her smile change into a grin, and reached for his hand, tugging him into her sanctuary.
It was two stories, the walls lined with an uncountable number of shelves filled with books. The room had tons of couches and other soft things to sit and lay on. A table with tea, hot chocolate, and coffee, makers, per her request. Natural light shone in through all of the open windows, and it gave the whole room a sunlit, glowing look.
Audi turned to face him, her whole face lighting up with pure joy. "Isn't it wonderful?"

@gracehustle

The look on Max's face morphed into pure amazement and awe as he looked around, not moving from his spot and not letting go of Audi's hand either. "This place is amazing, I can see why you like it," He said, smiling brightly with no trace of his previous awkwardness when he saw the look on her face. It was a beautiful place and Audi looked like she just belonged in this library, surrounded by books and natural lighting and comfy chairs in Max's mind.

LeahCat

Audi nodded happily and pulled him forward again. Leading him over to one specific spot on the wall, she pointed, before explaining. "Most of my favorite books are here. I'm the one that's in here the most, so I might've done a little rearranging while I was here." She grinned. "The maids noticed of course, but they didn't mind much. As long as I knew where everything was." She pulled a thick volume off the shelf, holding it to her chest before showing Max. "This is my favorite book. Most of the time I like fantasy, adventure stuff. But I also love mythology. And this book has tons of myths from my culture and from a bunch of the cultures of kingdoms around us. I've read it so many times I practically know it by heart."

@gracehustle

"You should tell me some of the stories then," He suggested with a smile and a genuine look of interest, "I've never read any fantasy or adventure books, mostly because I haven't had the time or resources." Max looked at the book in her hands with the same smile and gently traced the edge of the cover, glancing up from it to look at her, "That way I can spend more time with you and I can hear some of these stories." He turned to the bookshelf and studied the books with interest, amazed that each could hold different tales and adventures.

LeahCat

“Oh, I’d love to!” She said brightly, meeting his gaze. She watched as he scanned the shelf next to them, wondering how in the world he got by without tons of books to read. She decided right then that she would deliver him books whenever she could, give him her favorites so that he could experience what made her so happy. “I’ll need the book though, it has lots of beautiful pictures.” She lead him over to one of the couches and sat, patting the spot beside her. “Here, I’ll tell you my favorite story. The one of how the demons of Karalvanir were wrongly betrayed by the angels of Leyonema.”

@gracehustle

Max nodded eagerly, prying his eyes away from the shelves of books and sitting beside her on the couch. He was careful to leave some space between them even though he wanted to loop his arm over her shoulders and pulling her close to him. "Start whenever," He said in a gentle voice, happy to be spending time with her and to be hearing some fun stories.

LeahCat

Audi scooted close enough to him so that she could set the book on their laps. It was open to to first page of the myth, and held a beautifully drawn picture of Leyonema on the top half and Karalvanir below it. “In the beginning, all was peaceful. The demons and the angles lived in harmony. Until…” She wove the story like a tapestry, filling in details and showing him pictures as needed. He voice was soothing, and it was obvious she’d told this story before, and loved it very much.

@gracehustle

As soon as she started telling the story he was captivated, eventually even wrapping his arm around her shoulders and hugging her closer. He smiled the whole time she was telling the story, studying the pictures carefully and letting her voice paint the picture of the story in his mind. Her love for the story was very obvious as well and he knew he would remember that she loved this story and this whole book. Maybe he could even incorporate something into whatever he decided to make her for her upcoming birthday.
