“I’m sorry,” Isaac turns Haze’s face towards him. “I was just gauging on how the wound is healing. It’s healing quite fine.” He kisses Haze to dull the pain.

Isaac smiles at Haze. "I love you too, bien-amié. I can say that without hesitation now!" He is a happy demon who has learned the way of humans.

Isaac looks at Haze. "Where are you going?" He likes when Haze sits on his lap. It's a blissful moment. Then he remembers they have to go into town. "It's time to leave, isn't it."

Isaac snorts. "Well, thank you very much for the offer." He starts to giggle. "I can carry you on my back. Got a weapon just in case?" Isaac grabs his satchel and stuffs the knives he took out of it back in. He stands up.

Isaac lets Haze climb onto his back. He walks out of their safe place into the open wilderness. "You're going to have to tell me where we're going. I have no sense of direction around here." Isaac holds his head high.

Isaac giggled. "Do you mean stand straight or walk straight." He started to walk straight like Haze had told him to do. "You're super light. Just like you are small!"

"Oh come on! Can't a demon have its jokes?" He laughed. "It's true! You're light!" Issac kept walking, wondering how far this town was from their location.

Isaac tried to look back at Haze. "How did you know what I was thinking, smoll angry friend (An actual nickname I call my friend)?" Isaac laughed to himself.

Isaac almost stopped in his tracks. "I forgot I did that. It's amazing how easily my mind slips."

Isaac rolled his eyes. "What are you giggling about? I didn't say anything funny this time!" Isaac continued on his journey, thinking about what Haze could possibly need—and random attacks—and Haze's family randomly appearing. It scared him.

Isaac elbowed Haze in the stomach. “Hey sleepy! I still need direction!” He Reminded him. “Unless it’s forever straight, then I can manage that.”

Isaac looked straight ahead. “Look trip.” He walked all this way following Haze’s instructions. He let him fall asleep while Isaac was walking. When Isaac reach the outskirts of the town, he nudged Haze awake.

Isaac sighed. "Warm or not, we're here." He let Haze down and stretched. "You might be light, but my back hurts."

Isaac titled his head. "Why are you apologizing to me? You didn't do anything to apologize for."

Isaac waved off the apology. "You don't have to be sorry for that. It happens. Now, let's go get your—herbs." He drew his knife.
