Rykah tensed at the exchange, but knew better than to question Will.
Rykah and Will(because I can't think of a better title)
Finn watched Will leave, and although his face still remained completely stoic, his eyes betrayed the fact that he was extremely upset with Will.
Upstairs, Will carefully opened his brother’s door. The first thing he heard was heavy breathing, and the sound of someone crying.
Will walked in, and quickly shut the door behind him. His brother was leaning against the wall, with his arms around his knees. “Jack?”
Rykah looked up at Finn, "He'll be fine ok?" he said gently, "He's probably handeled whatever it is before."
Finn looked st Rykah for a second, and then said, “This is more serious than Will is prepared to handle.”
Upstairs, Will knelt down in front of Jack. He hesitantly put his hand out, resting it on Jack’s shoulder. Instead of the reaction he had been hoping for, Will was met with Jack grabbing his arm and twisting it, then shoving Will away.
Rykah supressed a look of concern, "He'll be fine…"
Finn smiled. “Your faith in Will astounds me.”
“Jack, it’s me.” Will tried.
“Leave me alone!” Was all he was met with.
“It’s your brother, you’re fine.”
“Just leave me alone, please!” Jack begged.
Rykah gave him a flat look, "Will can handle my nightmares… I'm sure he can handle Jack's"
Finn winced, and he looked up st the ceiling, where Jack’s room would be.
“Jack, come on. Listen. It’s your brother, Will. You’re at home, in your room.”
Jack just shook his head, whimpering.
Rykah watched him carefully, listening for any signs of trouble from upstairs.
“I’m goijg up there.” Finn decided finally. He could hear Jack’s thoughts from downstairs, and Will’s we’re getting increasingly louder, and that only meant that there was an issue.
Rykah watched him leave, unsure if he should Follow and check on Will.
Finn opened the door, and found Will still attempting to speak to Jack, and Jack sobbing into his arms.
“Will.” Finn said angrily.
Will didn’t even look up. He continued talking, and finally, Jack looked up at him.
Will stopped speaking for a second, and Jack moved into Will’s arms. Will wrapped him in a hug and looked up at Finn pointedly.
Rykah sighed, staying there, "They're gonna be fine…. Right?"
“I don’t really know.” Anna sighed.
Jack shook in Will’s arms, crying silently now.
Finn just watched the brothers for a moment, before going back downstairs.
"Well?" asked Rykah, fairly certain he'd been right.
Finn frowned. “Your faith in Will was well-placed.”
“So they’re ok?” Anna asked.
“Define ok.” Finn replied.
"Ok as in not hurting each other" said Rykah carefully.
“Then yes, they’re ok.” Finn said.
“Are they ok as in not mentally screwed?” Anna asked.
“Will’s fine in that sense.” Finn replied.
Rykah turned back to studying the game board, trying not to think about Will.
Upstairs, Jack had curled up against Will, trying to catch his breath. Will was muttering comforting things to his brother, who just curled up more.
“Who’s turn was it?” Jesse asked quietly.
"Mine…" said Rykah, making his move.
The game continued on, Finn playing for Will. Jesse made a few attempts at conversation, but nothing really came of either.
Rykah played silently, his tail flicking anxiously.
Eventually, Will came back and whispered something to Anna, who nodded and let him take her place as she went upstairs.
(Imma gonna take a break and go play my game for awhile.)
(Ok! Have fun!)
Rykah studied Will for a bit, but didn't say much as he kept playing.
Eventually, Jesse won the game and headed upstairs to his and Anna’s room. Will looked at Rykah, and said, “You ready to go upstairs?”
Rykah nodded, "Sure" he said, getting up.
Will lead him upstairs, cringing when he picked up the sound of Anna talking to Jack down the hallway. He quickly entered his room and shut the door once Rykah was inside.
