Rykah and Will(because I can't think of a better title)

"Its also why I'm stuck on this stupid island"

“Wait, What?” Will asked, still reeling from the fact that Rykah ‘did this often’.

"I used to live down on the mainland with my mom…" Said Rykah, "But when the attacks came the land got poisoned by that black goop, the black goop destroyed everything it came in contact with and forced everyone to flee to the islands…"

“Jeez….”

"Yeah,"

“You’re gonna be okay?”

"Yeah" he lied

“You’re sure?”

"No"

“Rykah….” Will said quietly, not totally sure of what to do.

Suddenly Lily came padding out of the trees carrying an old satchel. She dropped it next to Rykah her tail twitching.

“What’s that…?” Will asked.

"Lily" Rykah looked at her scoldingly, "I thought I told you to leave this alone! You know the Radio doesn't work And nothing in there is even useful anymore!" he said sadly holding it out to her so she could put it back.

“What is it?” Will repeated.

"It's a bag of old belonging of mine, said Rykah still holding it out to Lily, "They're useless now, I mean, the only thing in here that would even be slightly useful is the radio, but it's broken.."

“Let’s see if there’s anything in there you haven’t thought about yet.” Will said.

Lily took it from Rykah and handed it to Will, looking at will as if to say "Finally, someone who wants to try!"

Will smiled, and opened the bag, carefully placing the items on the ground.

Rykah watched as Will pulled out some old clothes, papers, a knife, and finally an old bundle.

Will studied the papers. “What are these?”

"Old stories my mom wrote" said Rykah, "But they got damaged by water awhile ago"

“Oh….” Will said, putting them back in the bag. He picked up the clothes. “These could be used for lots of things.”

"Not anything to help us contact the other Islands" said Rykah, ignoring the muffled noise from the bundle.

“What was that?”

"It's just radio chatter"

“Then shouldn’t we check it?!”

"Its no use" said rykah unwrapping the bundle to reveal a radio that looked like a walkie talkie, "It's broken and only works one way"

Will carefully picked up the radio. “There’s no way for us to use it correctly?”

"I know how to use it" said rylan "but I also know that it's broken and we cant send a message…"

“We Can always try again.”
