Rykah and Will(because I can't think of a better title)

He's gonna take some convincing… thought Rykah as he led Will into an open glen.

“I love you, Ry.”

"Love you to Will" he reached out an hugged Will with one wing. "Think this is a good enough spot?" he asked.

“Of course.”

Rykah set down the basket, pulling out some of the pastries before flopping on the grass.

Will took one as well, sudddebly very hungry.

Rykah scooted up next to Will, happily grabbing a fruit, wolfing it down hungrily.

Will smiled st him, although the smile didn’t reach his eyes.

Rykah grinned, but noticed the sadness in Will's eyes, immediately wishing it would vanish.

Will leaned into him, putting his head on Rykah’s shoulder.

Rykah finished his share, and pulled Will closer,

“Thank you.”

Rykah didn't need to answer that one, instead he pulled Will into a hug, kissing him on the cheek.

Will smiled. “I really do love you.”

"And I you" said Rykah twisting to kiss Will's other cheek.

“You were my first friend after…. after Dalton put em in the hospital.”

"He's a jerk" said Rykah gently, "And you need to move on."

“It’s not like I can’t just move on from him! He forced me to do things for two years….. things I wouldn’t have even thought of myself! He asked me to…… I can’t just move on, damn it! I still get nightmares about him, Rykah!” Will had moved away, out of reach.

Rykah blinked, taken off guard by the outburst, "Will…."

“I can’t just move on from that. I know I should be able to, but I can’t.” Will’s voice broke on the last word.

Rykah moved closer again, wrapping his arms and wings around the other boy. even here…. I can't help him escape…

Will dissolved into tears, wishing he could stop them. He hated crying, and was mad that it was the second or third time that day that he was crying.

Rykah just hugged him, closing Will out from the rest of the world with his wings. "It's gonna be ok…" he said softly.

“I dealt with him for so long…. I can’t do it again.”

"And as long as I can stay near you I won't let him get with earshot" said Rykah.

“You can’t stay with me forever…..” Will said, accidentally parroting his brother.

"Then I'll leave it to your siblings" said Rykah,

Will took a deep breath. “I’m sorry. I keep freaking out….. I don’t mean to I swear…..”

"Hey it's ok…" said Rykah, "For all I know it's merited." he pulled a paper out of his pocket and wrote something on it,

“What’re you doing, Rykah?”
