"Eh, that's what you call normal for us."

Reed laughed. “Yeah….”

"So what's your story?"

Both Jack and Reed paled. “Uh….”

"Aw come on" said Damian, "Can't be that bad"

“We were forced to assinate people until we were 17.” Jack said.
“We were kidnapped.” Reed added.
“He shot and killed my brother.”
“In my defense, I was under mind control. And my brother got sick and died in front of me.”
“My sister is an idiot and almost got herself killed.”
“The man who kidnapped us has found again.”
“He gets visions.”
“The kidnapper wants to kill us.”

"Wow" said Damian, "almost as bad as my uncles"

Reed laughed. “How bad was there lives?”

"More like is" said Damian, "We're all still in the middle of it, also it's not really my place to say either"

“Fair enough.”

"Watcha up to?" asked Alex, coming over. His wings were gone and he looked tired.

“Talking.”

"Bout what?"

“The past.”

"Comparing bad pasts?" asked Alex knowingly,

“Yep.” Jack said solemnly.

"Well I don't think you can top my twin" said Alex with a smirk.

“No?”

"let's see… separated from me and Blazara at age nine,
remembering both of us the whole time,
got possessed by an evil spirit,
Was forced to attempt to murder me, and anyone related to me,
He and I also got knocked out cold for eight years while Luma was trying to stop an evil overlord with many other complications. " he paused for a moment, "I could go on"

“Jeez, dude, you win.”

Alex rolled his eyes, "We survive, we always do"

“Well, that’s a plus.”

"Yeah…" said Alex.

“So….. Er….. what’s the most stupid injury you’ve ever gotten?” Jack asked.

"Probably tripping over Damian."

“One time I told the dude who kidnapped us to stick a fence post up his ass. Got punished pretty bad. Worth it though, his face was great.”

"Seriously?!" said Damian,

“Yep!” Jack said, smirking.
“I can confirm that he did that, and I can also confirm that his brother took the blame for it, so Jack didn’t get punished, although his brother did.” Reed said, rolling his eyes.
(That really is something my brothers did, and my parents were slightly murderous, as were me and my older brother.)
