"Yeah, a guy named Verick" said Luma, "He hates my guts, and he wants to steal our magic" he gestured to himself and everyone else in the clearing.
“Well, that’s nice.”
"If he manages to actually steal that much power we'll all be in big trouble" said Alex, "Luminero alone could take out an entire kingdom if he wasn't just one person."
“Welp, guess we’ll go down swinging, eh?”
"Yeah…" said Luma, "May as well get you lot sorted out for the night." he waved a hand to get their attention, leading them into the main clearing, Shiara, Frost, and Damian following to help.
“Thank you.” Anna called. She pulled up next to Jack and Reed. “Sorry about your brother, man.”
Alex nodded, dismissing the lot, and pulling Sirus off into the trees for a serious talk.
“It’s ok. He loved you, Anna, he really did.” Reed said sadly.
Anna pulled him into a hug, seemingly having forgotten how angry she had been at him.
Firiko came back over, "So your Jack's Sister?" he asked, holding out a hand to shake.
Anna shook his hand, nodding. “Yep, I’m the oldest child just so we’re clear.”
“You’re literally five minutes older than me!” Jack whined.
Reed rolled his eyes. “They’ve done this since they were kids.”
"Sounds like my older brother and sister" laughed Firiko, "Luma's older than Shiara by seven minutes, and apparently she's older then me by 6…"
“Nonstop when we were kids. All day, all night. ‘I’m older’ ‘by five minutes!’.” Reed mocked.
"I'm actually glad I never grew up around that" laughed Firiko.
“It was super annoying.” Reed said, laughing. “Although, I suppose my brother and I continually argued over who the better one was. It was him, but I was convinced that I was the best thing to ever grace the earth.”
"I can imagine" laughed Firiko sitting down in the grass.
“He was very, very full of himself.” Anna said, laughing a bit.
Jack rolled his eyes. “Yes, he really was.”
"Well, everyone has their downfall" said Firiko.
Reed laughed. “I wasn’t that bad!”
Anna and Jack both raised their eyebrows in an almost identical way.
"Something tells me you were" said Firiko with a smirk.
Reed tried hard to keep a straight face, but failed miserably, and burst out laughing.
Firiko's smirk turned into a mocking grin at that.
Reed got control of himself, and leaned back, closing his eyes for a second. Anna looked away, reminded of Jesse.
Firiko sighed, wishing they didnt have to fight.
Jack broke the short silence. “We can say that we were all little assholes.”
Firiko smirked. "Yeah.. I can probably attest to that."
Jack smiled. “You should’ve known us as teenagers.”
“I’m nineteen, Jack. Technically, I’m stills teenager.” Reed said.
“Right. I meant young teenagers. We were those rebellious teenagers.”
"I can imagine" said Firiko "i bet you had a lit more spunk back then too."
“We definitely did.” Anna said, laughing.
"Well hopefully you can keep up with my lot" said Firiko
“Oh, we can.” Anna said confidently.
