About half an hour later they were back in the main clearing, and Skye had stopped to let Reed dismount as he mentally searched for the location of food.
Jack immediately ran up to Reed, frowning. “You okay?”
Skye watched them with a smirk, before shifting and heading over to the main firepit, where there were some cold breakfast sandwhiches.
“I’m fine.” Reed assured him, noticing Anna sitting behind Jack.
"Hey is there a pyro mutt around here?" yelled Skye, "I'd like my breakfast charred!"
“You ok, Reed?” Anna asked.
Reed nodded.
Skye frowned, "I know for a fact there's at least one of you pyro mutts around here somewhere!!" he yelled again, just as his sandwhich was snatched out of his hand.
"I hear someone wanted their breakfast charred?" Arthur all but collapsed on Skye's shoulder, having warped to his side.
"Yeah… but you shouldn't be out of bed" said Skye wrapping an arm around his younger brother, watching as Arthur charred his sandwhich for him.
When Reed sat down, Anna put an arm around him, surprisingly.
Reed unconsciously leaned into Anna, smiling.
Skye said Arthur down before shifting to flop in wolf form at Arthur's feet.
"You know, for a guy who grew up on the city streets you spend an awful lot of time in wolf form" commented Arthur, absentmindedly scratching Skye's left ear.
Jack messes up Anna’s hair before sitting down. Since the time they had come back, Anna has changed her hair to be much shorter than it had been.
"People also dont respond well when I try to do Alpha buisness in human form." Replied Skye, leaning into the scratching.
“Jack, don’t touch the hair.” Anna said irritably.
Arthur slid down onto the ground next to Skye, draping himself over Skye so he could nestle in the other's fur. "whatever, you're soft" he murmured.
“Sorry.” Jack said, messing her hair up again. Anna rolled her eyes frustratedly.
Skye watched as Arthur dozed half on top of him, before settling down with a grin.
“What’s up with the short hair?” Reed asked carefully.
“Jack kept trying to braid it.” Anna said, rolling her eyes.
“It looks good braided, Anna!”

"So I take it your Alastair is the rat that teamed up with Verick?" Asked Skye curiously.
(Note he wasn't at rhe meeting and he didnt actually hear rhe announcement from Sirus.)
“Yeah….” Reed, Anna, and Jack all gave an involuntary shudder.
Skye's ears twitched. "That would be Luma's reaction to this guy" he said.
“He’s indescribably terrible.” Anna said sadly.
"The label we have for the guy who tore my kids brothers' lives apart." said Skye in response.
“Why do people like ruining kids’ lives?”
"If I knew that then maybe I could've tracked down our mother" said Skye with a sigh.
Anna nodded sympathetically, before shuddering again. “Why’re we talking about this again?”
Skye's tail flopped, "Who knows… I think I brought it up…" he sighed sheepishly.
“Whatever. It’s fine.” Anna said, while her hair changed to a purple color without her knowledge. Jack barely stifled a laugh, making an odd noise instead, which caused Anna to roll her eyes.
"Hey I guess you like purple just like me!" laughed Skye, noting the change. "Are you a shifter then?"
Anna cursed, laughing. “What changed? My hair? My eyes?” She looked down at her hands. “Not my skin. That’s a plus. Anyway, yeah, I am.”
Skye laughed, "I take it it happens spontaneously then?"
