“Why not?” Sol asked, a slight pout in his voice as he snuggled against Joey. “We don’t have any plans, we’re already comfy, we could just stay like this.”

"Well, I mean… we'll need water and stuff. And we might need to shower." He shrugged a bit, letting Sol cling to him for the time being.
Sol sighed, finally starting to come into full
alertness. “Why must you be right?” he mumbled into Joey’s hair. He was in need of a shower, unfortunately.
"I'm very smart." Joey kissed Sol's jaw gently and wrapped his arms around him, humming softly. "It can wait a little bit, though."
“Mmmhmm…” Sol sighed contentedly, spreading a wing over them. “Thank you, love,” he murmured softly.
Joey looked up at Sol's wing curiously and turned so that he could start preening him. "We should go flying some time!"
Sol smiled and purred softly. “I’d love to, I haven’t gone flying for enjoyment for a while, and I’ll take any excuse to spend time with you.”
Joey nodded, fluttering his wings a bit. "I haven't either! I never really have much time. We should probably go at night so nobody sees us though."
Sol nodded in agreement. “We could go out to my sister’s property again, there aren’t many people out there,” he offered. “And maybe you could meet Aster this time.”
"Ooh, yeah! Who was Aster, again? " He asked, looking up at Sol curiously. "I'm terrible with names, aha…"
“Krystal’s dog,” Sol replied with a laugh. “I’m not surprised you don’t remember, I only mentioned him in passing.”
"Oh, yeah! I'd love to meet him!" Joey grinned brightly and kissed Sol's cheek, hugging him tightly. "Mmm… I should probably shower soon."
Sol hummed softly, stretching his wings out behind him as he smiled fondly at Joey. “The shower and the tub in the guest room are big enough for wings,” he said, still not moving to get up. “I think there’s soap and such under the sink, but I’m not sure”
"Alright… I wanna cuddle for now, though…" Joey yawned and sighed, shifting closer to Sol. "What am I supposed to do when I'm not with you?" He whined. "I can't cuddle if you're not there."
“If you mean when I’m in the shower, you’ll just have to survive a short bit,” Sol laughed, gently stroking Joey’s wing. “If you mean during a normal day, you can always borrow my clothes as a substitute. And you’re welcome to come over any time.”
"Mm~…" Joey nuzzled against Sol affectionately. "But we both have to work sometimes! And what if you're working and I'm not or something? I don't have a whole lot of your clothes, and they're not the same as you!"
Sol huffed another laugh, returning Joey’s affectionate nuzzling with a soft purr. “You could move in here,” he said, then flushed. “I-I mean, if you want. No one stays over, so you could have the guest room, then we would see each other everyday.”
Joey flushed as well, considering while he toyed with Sol's hair. "I-I dunno… maybe. I'll think about it, anyway. It's a big decision, you know? For both of us."
Sol covered his blushing face with a hand. “I know, I’m sorry, it just came to mind and I didn’t think,” he murmured. “Definitely think it over, and I understand if you don’t want to, but my door is always open to you.”
"Don't apologize!" Joey insisted, waving his hands in front of himself a bit. "It's really fine! I'm just not sure I'm ready to move in full time yet. I might stay over a couple nights a week, though."
“Whatever you’re comfortable with,” Sol said softly, a small smile making its way across his face. “That you would even consider it is a gift.”
Joey smiled shyly and nodded, flushing a bit. "Yeah… I might at some point, but moving is a big thing, you know? Gotta make sure I can even get everything in order."
“Of course,” Sol nodded with a smile, nudging Joey’s nose with his own. “It is hard to pick up and move your life, I completely understand. I want you to to happy, so do whatever you think is best.”
He nodded again, curling up in Sol's arms. "Mm… I'm very happy. I do like how it is now, honestly. If I do end up moving in full-time, it might be a longer process. I wouldn't want to permanently move out of my apartment on a whim, after all."
Purring softly, Sol shifted to better hold Joey close, cuddling him affectionately. “Makes sense, love,” he said, kissing Joey’s forehead. “It could be months or years in the future, whenever you want, if you ever want it.”
"Mm… yeah. Hopefully not years, but… you know." He yawned and returned the affection, closing his eyes as he relaxed into Sol's gentle touch. "I'm still working on meeting your family and friends."
“You can meet Kris and Alistair soon,” Sol promised with a smile, gently rubbing circles on Joey’s back. “I only have a couple other friends who I’m close enough to to warrant meeting them.” He paused, a nervous look suddenly overtaking his face. “You know, I never have asked you…” he mumbled.
Joey looked up at Sol curiously, his wings fluttering. "Hmm? Never have asked me what?" He asked, clearly more than a little confused.
Sol flushed, biting his lip. “Well… I’ve been meaning to ask… I just-“ he rambled, uncharacteristically nervous. Get it together! “I’m happy with you, and I love cuddling and pet names… and I’ve been wanting to ask if you’d like to be together… officially? As boyfriends?”
"Oh!" Joey flushed as well, definitely taken aback. He was surprised by the question and hadn't really considered it much before, simply assuming that he and Sol were already in a relationship considering all the kissing and cuddling. "Y-Yeah, of course! I'd love to."
