Sol breathed a sigh of relief. He had been pretty sure Joey would say yes, but worried that even all the cuddling and kissing had just been platonic— still loving, but not in a romantic way. With how Joey had said he lacked physical affection in his earlier life, Sol thought that maybe he didn’t mean anything else behind the reciprocal affection. “Oh thank the stars,” he murmured, pressing kisses along Joey’s hairline. “I just wanted to be sure it’s what you wanted, too.”

"Y-Yeah, I… uh… kinda assumed we were already sorta dating." He smiled sheepishly up at Sol, rubbing the back of his neck awkwardly. "I'm happy to actually make it official, though. Makes it less confusing, I guess."
A bright smile broke across Sol’s face. “You did?” he asked delightedly. “That’s actually really good to hear. I felt like we were, but I wanted to be sure. Stars, I’m so happy right now, estello.” He took Joey’s hand away from his neck and kissed each knuckle with smiling lips. “So happy”
Joey grinned brightly and flushed harder when Sol kissed his hand, partially hiding his red face with his free hand. "Me too… it's been a while since I've actually been in a relationship with anyone."
Sol nodded, moving Joey’s other hand to pepper kisses across his flushed cheeks. “I haven’t been in a relationship in decades, so please forgive me if I’m a tad over enthusiastic,” he said between pecks, smiling fondly at Joey.
"Mmmm… that's alright. I like the attention~" Joey flushed a deeper red at all the kisses, shy and flustered.
“You’re so cute, sweetheart,” Sol cooed, not ceasing his barrage of small kisses. He could happily do this all day. “Would it be too much to ask to kiss you properly?”
"Mmmmmm…" Joey tilted his chin down, whining softly in protest. He looked up at Sol after a moment and paused before leaning up to properly kiss him on the lips.
Sol’s heart melted at the press of Joey’s lips and he tilted his head to better kiss him, purring softly. After a moment, he pulled back and pressed their foreheads together. “Estello,” he murmured happily.
"Tesoro." He murmured in reply, nuzzling against Sol affectionately. "Thank you for sticking around, Sol… sticking with me…"
“It is a gift and an honor to be with you, Joey,” Sol murmured, happily returning Joey’s affection with a smile. “I am happy to be by your side.”
Joey buried his flushed face in Sol's chest, hugging him tightly. "Mmmmmm… you're such a sap, Sol." He laughed softly, arching his wings.
“Absolutely unashamedly, love,” Sol laughed, stroking Joey’s hair and raising his wing to brush against the other’s. “And only for you.”
"Awww~" Joey grinned and gently kissed Sol's cheek, quivering when his wings were touched. "You're sweet. Are you like this with your friends too?"
“I am affectionate with my sister and close friends, but not to this degree,” Sol answered with a smile, nuzzling Joey. “You’re special to me.”
Joey smiled sunnily up at Sol, curling up in his arms. "Well, I guess it's nice to know that I'm special. You're pretty special to me too~"
“That’s good to hear, love,” Sol chuckled, cradling Joey close and kissing his forehead a couple times.
Joey trilled softly and closed his eyes, enjoying the attention. "Mmmm~… I wish we didn't have to get up…"
Sol laughed softly, reaching up to run his fingers through Joey’s soft hair. “After we both shower and get a drink, we can go back to cuddling,” he offered with a warm smile. “I’ll do whatever you want.”
"Mmmmm… okay…" Joey sighed, whining softly. "Does that mean I have to get up now?" He pouted a bit, sticking out his tongue with a soft huff.
“Hmmm… only if you want to, cutie,” Sol laughed, pecking a kiss to Joey’s nose. “We can come back when we’re done.”
"Okay, okay… I'll go shower." Joey sighed and reluctantly slipped out of bed. "I'll be back soon, okay?"
“Okay, sweetheart,” Sol smiled. “I’ll be here.”
Once Joey had gone, Sol went to his own bathroom to shower and change, then grabbed some water from the kitchen before returning to his room and picking up his book from the night before.
Joey came back within about fifteen minutes in more of Sol's clothes, this time a yellow hoodie with shorts. The clothes were massive on him and he was struggling with the wing holes again as he came in.
Sol looked up with a smile as Joey came in. “Need help again, love?” he asked with a soft laugh, getting up to help Joey adjust the hoodie around his wings.
"Yeah… it's hard when the hoodie's the wrong size." He huffed a bit, allowing Sol to help him with the hoodie. Honestly, he could probably figure it out on his own, but he enjoyed Sol's gentle, careful touch.
Sol carefully adjusted the hoodie and helped Joey slip his wings through. “Aaand there you go,” he said, stepping back with a smile. He’s so cute… “Comfy?”
"Mhmm! Thanks!" Joey hugged Sol and stood on his toes to kiss his cheek. "I wanna cuddleee…" He whined.
“Come on, then, sweetheart,” Sol laughed, scooping Joey up and settling onto the bed. “We can cuddle all day if you like.”
Joey grinned, tangling himself up with Sol on the bed. "Yaaaay~… we should probably get water and stuff beforehand though so we don't have to get up."
