Someone save me from my boredom
(I say one for boys, one for girls)
"Well, it's not like you're going to be left by yourself. This is a class trip so I doubt you'll even be allowed to go off on your own, let alone get left behind." He nudged her playfully. "Don't worry, we won't let you get eaten by bears."
(Ok)
"You better not!" she said as they got off the bus. She had grabbed the back of his shirt so as not to lose him in the crowd. There were roughly 40 kids, plus two leaders. The girls' cabin was next to the gift shop and dining hall, while the boys' was next to the recreational center and lake. They weren't too far apart, but you would have to yell to be able to hear each other from that distance.
"I don't understand why people always have to divide the group 'boys vs. girls.'" Angel complained kicking a rock. She never really liked that rule. She got along with guys way better than she did with girls. She might as well be one.
"Mostly so that no one sees anyone from the opposite gender naked. Because that would be just tragic." He chuckled. "That and it makes it easier to keep track of everyone. Gives the leaders an advantage in knowing if someone got away to go make out behind a bush somewhere."
"Oh, please. Who in their right mind would make out behind a bush? I'd do it under the dock. No one would ever think to look there." As soon as she realized what she said, her face turned fifty shades of red. "Not that I WOULD do it! I'm just saying, if they're gonna do it they should at least pick a good place."
He couldn't help bursting out laughing. "Is that so? I'll keep that in mind." He teased with a grin. She was fun. He was really starting to like her.
"Where would I? Hmm, good question." He chewed on his lip, thinking for a minute. "I'd go with up in a tree somewhere. Simple but it certainly gets the job done. Plus, I'd rather be uncomfortable in a tree than end up soaking wet under a dock."
"Easy! Stay against the trunk and have whoever you're making out with in your lap. That way you can stay in complete control of the situation so no one falls."
"You like staying by windows, don't you? What, trying to keep everyone from thinking you're a vampire by staying in the light?" He teased with a chuckle as he took the other seat, brushing his hair out of his eyes.
"Really now? Huh, that's a new one. Maybe that's why I like summer so much." He shrugged with a smile. She seems to quiet but she's talking a lot now. Wonder why she decided to talk to me of all people.
"Can't say I have! Although I'm sure Mama Jill would be willing to give it a shot." He chuckled to himself. Mama Jill was Jay's current guardian, he had been passed around like a Christmas sweater nobody wanted in foster care since he was 7.
(I'd say they do things together in different groups of like 5 kids per group)
"I've got the scenic hike through the woods. I'm actually kind of excited about it. Let's just hope the group I get stuck with isn't too annoying or else I will drown them all out with Green Day."
(Sure!)
He was waiting at the hiking trail for the rest of his group with the counselor, crossing his fingers and praying to God that they wouldn't start talking to him. Come on, someone show up so I'm not alone…
He nearly fell backwards when she hugged him and he laughed. "Well hello again Angel." That's certainly an interesting way to greet someone.
"Really? Huh. You know a lot about nature, don't you?" She's really into this, it's so cute. He instantly flushed red at the thought, looking away from her. Don't think like that, you just met her!
He took the flower, looking it over for a second before sticking it behind Angel's ear with a smile. "Now it's perfect."
He wasn't sure he could flush any redder as he looked away. "It was nothing, really." He cleared his throat, trying to reorganize his thoughts. "We should go catch up with the rest of the group. Don't want to be the first ones to get a rumor spread around that someone caught us making out in the woods, do we?"
