Skye smiled, hugging him tightly.

"I'm sorry you had to wait this long for me to be comfortable…"

"It's worth it" he murmured.

"I'm glad." Lucas smiled softly. I still wish I hadn't caused him so much trouble, though.

Don't you dare start thinking like that. Skye's thoughts interuppted his.

Lucas froze. I forgot you could do that…

"I can teach you how to shield…" he murmured.

"Shield what? Your thoughts in mine? I don't mind it…"

"Shield your thoughts so I don't hear them accidentally." He said, "I usually shield myself, but it gets hard after awhile…"

Lucas shrugged. "I don't mind it that much… You knowing helps me, honestly. You can catch me when I'm lapsing before I do anything drastic."

"True… but it would be a good idea so that way you can have some privacy…"

"Mm… I suppose so. How do you do it?"

"Like this" he carefully showed him how to do it mentally.

"Okay… I think I got it. Can you hear me?" I think you're really hot.

"Great!" Lucas grinned as well, but he was also blushing a bit. That was a stupid thing to think… What if it hadn't worked?

"Penny for your thoughts?" He asked.

"What do you mean?"

"I'm not trying to listen to your thoughts, and you have the sheild up, meaning I can't ear them, and you're blushing." He explained.

"Oh… I-I, um…" Lucas looked down, blushing harder. "I said I think you're.. y-you're… hot…" He finished almost inaudibly.

It was Skye's turn to blush, visibly for once.

"I-I'm sorry… I… I shouldn't've…" His voice trailed off and he hid his face in his hands again.

"It's alright… y-you just caught me off guard…."

Lucas peered at Skye from between his fingers. "Are you… Are you blushing?" He asked, a smile slowly growing onto his face.
