"At least until your leg is healed…" said Skye softly.
(Yeah)
"Alright." Lucas finished his food and stretched his paws out on Skye's again, yawning.
Skye smiled, snuggling around him.
Lucas smiled softly and dozed off again, this time with a full belly.

Skye kept watch from midnight till morning, wary of the sounds of traffic from the streets.
Lucas slept fine and woke up in the morning, shielding his eyes from headlights and the sun. I suppose we'll have to up and do something now…
Skye watched him as he woke up, licking his ear.
Lucas whined happily and nuzzled against Skye's neck before standing and stretching. Even with Skye laying down and Lucas standing, Skye was taller.
Skye smiled at him, shifting back and opening his arms for the other to come back.
Lucas hopped into Skye's arms and lay down, his tail wagging. His leg wasn't hurting as much and he figured he'd be able to change back soon.
Skye smiled, beginning to scratch behind his ears.
Wait, I have healing magic, don't I? Lucas closed his eyes and focused, slowly healing his leg. It was a little harder to do in this form, but still possible.
Skye watched him, "Well that's one way to do it…"
Lucas nodded and finished healing himself, flipping onto his back so he was basically sitting in Skye's lap. Then, he hesitated before transforming back into a human.
Skye hugged him lightly, "Still love you.." he murmured.
"Love you too…" Lucas smiled and wrapped his arms around Skye's neck contentedly.
Skye smiled, happy that the other had gotten over his aversion to touch.
"Is it possible to partially transform? Like, say I just had ears and a tail. Just wondering…"
"It isn't for me…" said Skye, "maybe for you?"
Lucas closed his eyes and focused, and soon had the ears and tail of his golden retriever form. He looked up at Skye. "Did it work?"
Skye grinned, scratching behind his ear, "yes it did…"
Lucas smiled softly, his tail wagging. "It's strange to sort of be both human and dog simultaneously, huh? I kinda like it, though…"
Skye smiled, "It looks good on you."
"Thanks…" Lucas hugged Skye again happily. Even though they were on the streets, he finally felt safe and content.
Skye smiled, glad the other was happy.
"It's strange to not be afraid of being touched…" Lucas said quietly. "Good, though. I think I might only be comfortable with you."
"That's fine by me.." he murmured.
Lucas nodded, wrapping his legs around Skye's waist as well. "This is nice…"
