Spencer blinked at her.
"Uh, maybe… I don't really think that's what he meant, though."
Spencer blinked at her.
"Uh, maybe… I don't really think that's what he meant, though."
“Well then, what did he mean? I’m not killing this guy without a solid reason,” Anya said, crossing her arms.
"If he doesn't give us the information, we're supposed to torture it out of him," Spencer sighed.
Anya grumbled something about how she “hates doing other people’s dirty work,” then shrugged. “Fine. Simple enough.”
(How do you type so quickly?!?)
Spencer glanced at her out of the corner of his eye, smirking at what she'd said under her breath.
"You ready to go in, then?"
//lol. My wpm is high, i guess :P
“Darling,” Anya said, opening the car door and getting out. “I was born ready.”
(Apparently.)
Spencer stepped out as well, sizing the large house up as he did. There were ways to get out if they would need to, so he wouldn't worry about that.
"Let's go, then."
Anya was already heading for the door. “Be careful,” she called over her shoulder. “The second step is trip-wired.”
"Thanks for the tip," Spencer said, making sure not to trip it. He hadn't even noticed the trap. Maybe Anya knew more than she was letting on.
//hmmmmmm maayyybbeeeeee :P
“Anytime,” Anya said, stopping at the front door. “And the doorknob is armed; if you touch it, it’ll most likely explode your hand off….”
(Lol.)
"How do you know these things?" Spencer asked, giving her a look.
Anya shrugged. “I honestly don’t know. I don’t remember actually learning any of it…”
Spencer nodded slowly and gave her a weird look. "Oookaaaay… So, where should we start, then, newbie?"
“We could kick down the door, but then that would trigger the motion sensors that would trigger the land-mine things that would kill us all. Or we could go through a window, but that would trip the lasers that would trigger the machine gun that would kill us all,” Anya thought aloud. “In conclusion, I don’t know. Is there a back door?”
(It seems to be fast again… Huh.)
"I would assume so; although, judging from your surprising statements just now, I would think that that was armed as well," Spencer said.
//huh.
“In my experience, crooks are stupid, and overlook the most obvious things. For example, security cameras. I see no security cameras.”
"Well, should we go check the back, then?" Spencer nodded toward the back as he spoke.
“Good idea,” Anya smirked, following him. “Watch your step.”
"Same to you," Spencer murmured as he carefully started to make his way back.
Anya lept over trip wires and maneuvered around traps, all the while looking ridiculously relaxed. “Thanks.”
Spencer raised an eyebrow at her calmness and continued to carefully maneuver through the traps.
"You're good for a newbie."
“I am indeed,” Anya laughed. “And you’re not so bad for a seasoned member.”
"Seasoned," Spencer scoffed under his breath. "Are you calling me old?"
“That’s up to you to decide,” Anya smirked.
Spencer gave her a look and continued to make his way to the back.
"All right, Miss Observent, what do you see?" he asked when they'd reached the door.
“There is an alarm… but it’s strangely easy to disable… no tripwired explosives… not that I can see, at least….” Anya paused. “This is probably our best bet.”
"Good. Let's get going then," Spencer said, taking a step toward the door.
“Wait!” Anya hurried around Spencer and quickly pulled some wires. “Okay, now.”
"Well, now I'm glad a have you with me," Spencer declared, shooting her a genuinely thankful smile over his shoulder.
“You are welcome,” Anya laughed, opening the door. To her relief, nothing exploded.
