(I'm thinking the other team just ambushes them when they sleep tonight, or tries to ambush them)
With a nod, she somehow found the ability to smile back before turning and focusing back on making sure the rabbit was cooking. The rest of their team was busy talking and just getting some rest in while Dierra went silent again and slipped into her mind, going over the loss of Felix only a few hours prior.
The Competition// one-on-one//Closed
(Pfffff I have no Ideas on how to respond…)
(XD you can take control of one of the other characters if you want, just to get a response in. Cassian, Adrian, Ari, and Cossett are all still alive if you need a character to use)
(But I need inspiration! Go, Google! Go, Reddit! Go, Random Site That I'll Never Use Again!)
(XD, have him ask more question or go do something, ect)
"You all right?" Griffin asked, concerned. It had been a while-the rabbit was almost done cooking, and he saw her looking into blank space. To be entirely honest though, so was he.
"Hm?" She said, snapping back to reality and looking over at him, "Yeah, yeah, I'm fine. Just thinking about stuff." Her eyes flicked to the rabbit and she nodded, looking around for a stick to push it away from the fire.
"Hey, guys! Food's ready! Don't eat too much-we might have to save it for tomorrow." Griffin waves the rest of the group over, pretending that Ari didn't betray him.
Dierra pulled the rabbit away from the fire carefully and watched as the others quickly came over and did their best to take part of it. She waited until the others had taken their part, motioning for Griffin to take some as well so she could take the last bit. It was in no way an even split about who took what, and she wanted everyone to eat first before she did.
(I'm going to be taking a break for a while, if that's alright. I don't mean I don't like this rp-I do, but I just need some time off.)
(oh, ok sounds good :) Take as much time as you need! Please come back eventually though, I like rping with you..)
(Heyo just bumpingg)
(AHHH CRAP I'm sorry it's entirely my fault! >.<)
Griffin took a piece-one of the front legs-as he cautiously watched the area. He was concerned about their team, and he didn't want another ambush-another death-to happen.
"You know, the rabbit won't just 'hop' into your hands, even if you stare at it." Griffin noticed, giving Dierra roughly half of what he took.
(I don't have many good ideas, so I'm sorry ;-;)
She shrugged, still taking what he gave her. It was clear she was distracted by her thoughts and she just held the piece, taking off small pieces and eating it slowly. They had only been in the arena for a day and already one of her teammates had died and almost all of the rest of them were injured in some way. "They're probably going to attack us again tonight," She said after a long silence, looking around at the rest of the team, "Meaning we have to be ready to fight. The sooner we take them down, the sooner we can leave without more…death."
(It's oke lol I just didn't want this to die)
(lol hi again I'm just bumping rps I really liked)
(Crawls into hole and dies I'M SORRY ;-;-;-;-;-;-;-;-;-;-;-;-;)
"There's going to be death either way. Whether it be on our team or theirs depends on if we're ready." Griffin stood, finishing off a smaller piece of rabbit.
"So why don't you come out already! You're going to kill us anyway, why not just do it now?" Griffin seemed to just be yelling to them-both the other team and the people in control of the Competition.
(It's oke don't die!! pleaseeeee)
Dierra just closed her eyes and sighed, not even trying to get him to keep quiet at this point, "Griffin…maybe not pointing out our location would be a good idea." His yelling probably wouldn't be even acknowledged by whoever was in charge though, unless they planned on giving the other team an advantage by telling them where their team was. Everyone else seemed more nervous by his yelling though, a look of exhaustion visible on their faces as well. "Now that they clearly know where we are though, we'll have to figure out who's going to take watch while everyone else sleeps."
Griffin's eyes open in realization of his stupidity. "I-shit, sorry…I'll… I'll take first watch tonight. I… wasn't thinking."
She nodded, looking around to see that no one else seemed keen on offering to watch over the group. "It's settled then, Griffin will take first watch, and I'll take the other half of the night." Dierra knew she probably wouldn't get much sleep though, both from her very strong dislike of the dark and her dreams if they went to Felix's death. Even as tired as she was, she just watched as everyone started to relax a tad and get settled down to sleep. Most of them made a small 'bed' from leaves and stayed to themselves, but Cossett and Cassian's beds were closer to each others, just like Adrian's and Ari's were.
(I don't know how to respond! screams ;-;)
(lol it's oke! Maybe just have griffin settle in somewhere for the night? him and Dierra can start talking and maybe learn more about eachother?)
(Alright)
Moving a larger rock close to the fire, Griffin sat, perched with his dagger in his hands. "Sorry," he muttered, nodding to Dierra. "Didn't mean to snap."
"It's alright, I think all of us are about ready to snap," She replied, her voice soft as she watched him move to the rock. Her eyes moved back to watching the small fire burn up the wood and leaves, "This whole thing is stupid."
(Heyyyyyy just bumping)
(Hides in corner about to scream 'I'm sorry' a few hundred million times)
"Agreed." Griffin nodded. "Don't you have to get to bed? If you don't want to, I can keep watch all night. I didn't mean to be so stupid before." He shook his head, running his hand through his scruffed-up hair.
(It's oke!)
Dierra shrugged, then shook her head after a moment, "I should, but I don't think I could fall asleep. I'll take the second watch like I promised, but I'll also help you with the first watch." She sighed and leaned back against the tree, thinking about the events of the day in her head and trying not to bother him. Eventually she had to bother him with a question though, quietly asking, "Tell me about this girl you mentioned. The one who you're fighting to live for?"
"You mean, besides my sister? No one, really, just someone local." That was a big fat lie. Why don't you just tell her? Griffin stared out into space. "You fighting for someone?" It was a desperate attempt to change the subject.
