When Gemini woke up, she was in the air. Kono was still in dragon form and was carrying her by her hood in his beak(? Jaws?) while he flew.
Gemini blinked. "What the - OH SHIT - " she screamed, wriggling around. "What the hell is happening?"
Kono growled as if to tell her to calm down and landed in a forest, setting her on the ground. He half shifted and watched her sitting on the ground curiously.
Gemini clutched her chest. "I can't breathe - what the fuck was that, I'm terrified of heights, you idiot!" She yelled.
"Well, I need to hunt for food and I'm not going to leave you alone in the cave. Now, get up so we can get moving." Kono transformed back into a dragon and waited.
"No. That was stupid," she said stubbornly, crossing her arms. "I don't want to move. I'll fall. My legs are shaking."
Kono rolled his eyes and picked her up again, setting her on his back before starting to walk through the forest.
Gemini screamed indignantly. "This is stupid. You're so stupid. I knew I should've gone back to my parents."
Kono growled quietly as a warning, looking for prey. It's not 'stupid'. It's necessary for survival. She's the stupid one…
"If I started singing, would you kill me? What if I just like - set a squirrel on you? What's it going to take?" She asked, laying back and looking at the sky.
Kono stayed silent. He eventually spotted a deer and pounced on it, killing it instantly. He picked it up in his jaws.
Gemini blanched. "Oh my - nope. No fucking way. No. Nopity nope," she shook her head and jumped off of Kono's back. "I'm going to be sick - oh gods."
Kono looked down at Gemini, confused. He cocked his head slightly to the side and sat down, laying the deer down near her. For whatever reason, he was trying to give her food, horribly misreading the signs she was giving off.
Without warning, Gemini started climbing the nearest tree, going up as high as she could without the branch breaking. "No - no, please don't."
Kono was definitely bewildered now. Does she prefer birds or something?? He swallowed the deer whole and raised his head up to where Gemini was in the tree.
"I AM A VEGETARIAN," she told him loudly, turning away and crossing her arms. "Maybe I can find some poisonous berries," she muttered.
Vegetarian? What?? Kono shook his head, confused and frustrated. He moved his head in front of her and closed his eyes to say she should do the same before picking her up again. He took off and made his way back to the cave.
"I swear to all that is good, if I fall I will end you. After I'm resurrected," she threatened, covering her eyes.
Kono rolled his eyes and went back into the cave once they arrived about ten minutes later. He set Gemini down and half shifted, smoothing down his windswept hair.
Gemini immediately fell on the floor. "Never - never doing that again," she panted.
"Mm. What is the whole… 'vegetarian', thing? I've never heard of it." Kono turned towards Gemini, wiping a bit of deer blood from his lip with his thumb.
"It means that I don't eat meat," she told him impatiently, shaking her head. "You really need to get out more."
Kono shrugged. "Well, I can only eat meat because of my species. What does that make me?"
"A carnivore?" She said uncertainly. "Is that what they're called? I don't know."
"You're asking the wrong guy. I don't bother to meddle in human affairs, usually." He sat down on the coins.
"That's not an affair, it's a WORD," she growled, frustrated. "Whatever. It doesn't matter."
"You see, you're so fickle. You get defensive about things and then say it doesn't matter. It does or doesn't matter? Just make up your mind, will you?" Kono disturbed the coins with his tail.
"*No, I will not. This whole situation is very stressful, alright? Just leave me alone," she muttered, looking away.
