“K-Kyle!” He was right, something had happened. He was instantly at his side, “Shh it’s okay, it’s okay”
The Hero and The Villain (Closed)
He didn’t want to touch Caleb in fear of the ice spreading to him. He shook his head, rocking back and forth a little.
“Babe it’s not real, we’ve talked about this, remember?” He gently touched Kyle’s shoulder.
Kyle flinched away, pushing himself into a corner, “I-It won’t go away,” He whispered shakily, repeating it over and over.
“Everything’s gonna be okay, Kyle, it can’t hurt you I promise” He reassured
Kyle looked up a little and watched as the ice covered Caleb, “N-No! Nononononono…. n-not you too, p-please no..”
“I don’t know what you’re seeing but it’s not real, Kyle I promise”
Outside, a loud scream could be heard, a woman who had watched another shatter into ice.
Caleb looked over before looking back at Kyle. “Kyle, what happened?” He asked quietly

Kyle looked up, eyes red and puffy. He looked towards the window and blinked, the ice disappeared for a moment and then it was back, “I… I don’t…”
“What has you this upset, it’s not just the ice…is it?”
“They’re gone…” He whimpered, “Th-Three of them… I-I didn’t mean it Caleb I-I don’t know what’s happening…” Silent tears streamed down his cheeks.
Caleb’s eyes widened slightly but he hugged Kyle tightly.
Kyle hugged him back, even though he looked like an ice stature to him, “I-I don’t know what’s happening,” He sobbed.
“It’s gonna be okay, we’re gonna find a way to fix this I promise.” He held onto him tightly.
Kyle sobbed for a little while longer, eyes squeezing shut. After about ten minutes, he opened his eyes and the ice was gone.
Caleb hadn’t let go of him the entire time.
“Th-Thank-you…” He whispered as the last of the ice disappeared from his vision.
“Is it gone?” He asked quietly
Kyle nodded, inhaling shakily.
He still didn’t let go of him, this all kind of freaked him out still. But he couldn’t let Kyle see that.
Kyle sniffled, pulling back to wipe his face with the sleeve of his jumper.
What was going to happen now? To him….and more importantly to Kyle.
He looked anywhere but Caleb in that moment. He was ashamed of himself, what he could do… he wanted everything to stop.
“It’s okay…we’re going to figure this out, I promise…” he said quietly. He should’ve done something about this before it became a problem.
He flicked his gaze to his, quickly averting it, “I… I don’t think you can keep that promise…” He whispered.
“We’re going to at least try…” he knew they would be coming for Kyle soon.
“Sh-She’s going to take me back…” He swallowed, “Back… there, where this started…”
“No she won’t, I won’t let anyone take you”
