“Shhh there’s no ice babe, it’s just in your head” he said, gently taking his hands to stop him.
Kyle looked down at his shaky hands and finally noticed there was nothing there. He let out a small whimper as tears fell down his cheeks.
Caleb wrapped his arms around him “shh, it’s okay”

Kyle hugged him back tightly, a few sobs escaping him, “I-I don’t want the power anymore… why me? Wh-Why can’t I be normal?”

Kyle shook his head a little as if saying, don’t be sorry but he didn’t speak.
“I’m sorry things have to be this way…” he couldn’t help but blame himself.
He just nodded slightly, letting out a shaky breath.
If only he’d been more suspicious, none of this would’ve happened. “I’ll be here to protect you, always.”
Kyle held out his pinky finger, “Pinky promise me… please…”
Caleb did so “pinky promise”
Kyle cracked a small smile, “Thank you.”
Caleb smiled in return “anything to make you feel better”
Kyle’s smile widened a tad and he kissed Caleb’s cheek.
He blushed happily.
“You’re cute when you blush.” He said quietly.
