She groaned a little and buried her face against him. ”I’m sorry. I’m making this worse.”
The Hero shows up at the Villain's doorstep one night // One on One // CLOSED
"No, it's…it's not your fault. i just…"
She nodded. ”It is. I’ve never let myself get this close to anybody. But you…” she sighed. ”No one has ever…”
He bit his lip. "It's not your fault. I just…" I'm too much like my father.
She looked up at him. ”What is it, Killian?” she asked gently, placing a hand against his cheek. ”I’m not scared of you. You can tell me.”
He shook his head a little. "I…" He closed his eyes tiredly.
She looked at him, still wanting an answer. ”Go on.” she encouraged softly.
"I'm too much like my dad."
She propped herself to look at him seriously. ”In what way? Because I don't see it.” she told him honestly. ”I read his file when I saw he was an escaped prisoner. I know what he's done and I know what you've done because of our time together.” she smirked a little at that part. ”But out of everything I know about the two of you, you're not like him at all.”
"I…" He closed his eyes, shaking his head.
”You what?” she asked. ”You’ve never committed any of the crimes he did. You're a thief, I’ll admit but you're not a killer. You don't really hurt people.” she reminded him, lightly tracing his tattoo. ”I think this is the only thing you have in common.”
Killian flinched a little at the tracing, shaking his head a little bit.
“Actually, you’re stronger then he is.” she told him. ”You left them.”
"No, I haven't." he replied quietly.
She blinked in confusion and looked up at him. ”What do you mean? I saw the file, you're not a part of that gang anymore.”
He closed his eyes. "Of course you did."
”I only saw that because of my research about the new gang patterns.” she said softly. ”Please talk to me.”
He shook his head. "Doesn't matter."
”Yes, it does matter.” she insisted. ”Killian, it's not healthy to keep bottling these things up. Please tell me what happened.”
"No." he said, sitting up and not looking at her. "It really doesn't matter."
”Then why does it bother you so much that you can't talk about it?” she asked, pulling the blanket up over herself.
He shook his head again. "No."
She sighed and shook her head. ”You don't trust me?”
He shrugged his shoulders. "I don't know." he admitted.
”Why not?” she asked. ”Is it because I'm a hero?”
He shrugged his shoulders, leaning his elbows on his knees and running his hands through his hair.
She sighed and fell backward on the bed. Why am I so pushy? ”I’m sorry. I just… I’m sorry.”
He sighed, running a hand through his hair.
She closed her eyes and sighed. ”Why don't you say anything?”
He shrugged a little. "I don't know."
