"Come on, let's go."
The Innocent and the Bad Boy (CLOSED)
Paige stood up and waited for him to join her.
Colton followed suit and took her hand in his.
"I don't want to go back," she whispered. Fear was hidden beneath her words.
"Hey, everything will be okay," Colton said gently, "Trust me."
She looked at him. "Wait…" she whispered. "I… I want to tell you something."
"Okay, I'm all ears." Colton looked at her worriedly.
She took a deep breath. "I was a pop star!" she blurted, turning crimson.
"Wait- pop star?" Colton raised an eyebrow, a smile forming.
"Yeah…" she whispered, clearly embarrassed.
"Hey," Colton smiled at her, "I think that's really cool, no need to be embarrassed."
"Really?" she asked, rubbing her arm subconsciously.
"Really. And I don't see you any differently then before, okay?" Colton took her hands and kissed the back of each.
"Why?" she asked quietly. "What have I done to deserve you looking at me like this?"
"You've done nothing. You're just you. My amazing Paige. The question is, what have I done to be given an angel?" Colton smiled.
She looked at him with pure innocence. "You think I'm an angel?" she whispered.
"Yes, I do." He replied.
She started crying happy tears.
"Wait did I say something wrong?" Colton freaked out a little.
Paige giggled through the tears. "No. You're perfect," she replied happily.
Colton hugged her tightly, "You're pretty perfect too."
"I'm not perfect…" she objected quietly.
"Nuh uh, yes you are," He rubbed his nose against hers, "And I'm gonna keep telling you until you believe it."
"I'll never believe it," she murmured.
"Nope, yes you will, even if it takes a hundred years you will." Colton insisted.
"I won't."
"Well I'm going to make it my mission to change that."
She blushed. "You can try…"
"And I will," He pecked her on the lips, "Come on, we need to get to class."
She was surprised he didn't question anything about her pop-star background, but she didn't push. Part of her had fought the idea of telling him, anyway. "You're right. Let's go," she agreed, somewhat reluctantly.
