"And what exactly is that?"

"Oh, dear. Use your imagination. I'm sure you'll come up with something."

"Virgin." Isla said in a reminding tone

"Doesn't mean anything, honestly. Some of my best friends are virgins, and they're nearly as filthy minded as I am."

"That doesn't matter to me. "

Reyna giggles.

"Well, you're just a bundle of innocence, aren't you."

"No, not really."

"Good to know, "

Reyna looks at the window for a moment.

"Hey. Where do you think monsters came from?"

"What? I don't know why would you ask me? "

Reyna chuckles.

"Good to know you don't really read. Anyways, all the different races of monsters in the Dungeon have a single thing they agree on: we came to exist because of the Tower's god. Its creator. He'liáth. 'He Who Creates and Shines.' We've been around as long as the Tower. We had a rich history, right up until humans invaded the continent. Now all we have are caves and acid mushrooms. What I'm trying to say is, monsters and humans never existed together. Not once. Me being in this city feels. . . wrong. Like the very earth you've claimed has a hatred towards me."

She pauses. "I think the point I want to make to you is that you saved someone who would've killed you."

"Anyone can kill anyone reyna… I saved you because I wanted to, because… I saw more innocence in you than a human child I couldn't just let you die. "

Reyna looks stricken.

"How. . . how would you know?" she whispers.

She looks at Isla, a strange look in her eyes.

"Fear… You were terrified of me. "

"Pretty understandable reaction. . ." Reyna whispers, turning away.

Reyna turns towards Isla slightly.

"What do you. . . want to do? When your head is healed, I mean."

"I. . . would like to try to go see where the old city was. Where my people first built."

"No. You found me at the Dungeon. The city is. . . different."

"We don't know where. The location was lost decades after we were driven down into the Dungeon."

"Yeah. Like humans and your tales of Atlantis sinking."

"Well, it's true. Monsters remember that which you humans don't."
