I've been wanting to do a RP like this for awhile. You can be either the sailor or the mermaid. I'm fine with either though I would like to do the Sailor. This can be a romance but can we keep it PG. I really like the idea that the Mermaid gets trapped in a net and is held on the ship where the Sailor ends up pitying them.

I like to start mostly blind so we can figure out stuff. But if you want to post templates than could you please leave out stuff like personality so we can actually express that in the RP. Sorry for being a bother!

OK! I was thinking about starting when your character gets caught in a net. But I have to go to sleep soon so I won't be on much.

Arria new going to the surface was a bad idea. He knew swimming near a ship was a bad idea. But he did it anyway. Because he was stupid and had an obsession with humans. So when he got caught in a net he began to panic, trying to find a way out with no luck. And when it started to get higher and higher until he was out if the water? Arria was petrified.

Chesh absentmindedly wandered around the ship. She had gotten all of her chores done and nothing better to do. She looked and waved at some of the crew members as they began to haul up a net of fish. She went to go find something else to do when she heard the yell of "Mermaid!". She looked around, expecting it to be in the water but instead her eyes landed on the net. She rushed over to the side to look at him. Her purple hair was getting wet from the water off the net but she didn't care. A Mermaid? How? They were never seen! She heard someone yell to go get the Captain.
Arria pushed against the ropes, his navy blue and purple tail shimmering in the light of the sun. His violet eyes were wide in fear, his black locks sticking to the side of his face as he struggled to escape. After a few minutes of useless struggling, he gave up.

Most of the crew was gathered at the side of the ship to look at Arria. Chesh stared at him, her purple eyes wide with amazement. She looked at his shimmering blue tail and his violet eyes. She watched as he struggled against the ropes. He must be terrified. She felt bad for him. She would hate to be in his position right now.
“L-Let me go!” Arria shouted, trying to control his breathing and pounding heart. He refused to look at any of them, absolutely hating himself for being so foolish.

And with those words Chesh's heart shattered. Seeing him helpless like this made her sad and angry at once. "We should let him go. He's not a fish." Chesh said to one of the sailors who was near the ropes that were holding Arria. "We need to wait for the Captain." He said. Chesh froze. Captain Robert was a greedy man. He would probably try to sell the Merman off to be some sort of slave or pet.
Arria started to freak out more then he already was if it was possible, "No… No please no! Put me back in the ocean, please!" He didn't care he was begging for his release. He just wanted out. He wanted to go anywhere but here.

Chesh stared at Arria. There was no way she was going to be able to get him out of this situation now. There were a lot more people guarding the ropes and there was no way she would be able to get to it. Captain Robert came out to look. His eyes went wide when he saw Arria. "Well shave my beard and call me a monkeys uncle! That is a Merman!" He said. "We should let him go." She said to him. "We have no use for him."
"Exactly! Listen to her, she's right! I am no use to you with a tail and… and it's not like people will believe that I'm real!" Arria tried to reason, though he still knew there was little hope left. Just looking at this man he could tell if he wanted something, he'd get it.

Captain Robert shook his head. "Do you know how much money we could make off of this guy? We have just caught the first mermaid, for all we know, ever! Bring him aboard!" He shouted. Some men untied the ropes and brought the net above the wooden deck. They started to lower it. Chesh glared at Robert. They had caught the first mermaid and he immediately starts to think about money. It's a sentient creature! Not some animal!
(BTW My computer is acting weird so if I go offline for a while my computer may be broke.)

Arria's heart dropped to his stomach as the net lowered onto the deck. Everything he'd ever been told about humans was real. Greedy, selfish and arrogant. He hit the wood with a small bump, causing him to fall backwards just slightly and he immediately went to try and get out of the ropes.

The crew began to unwrap Arria from the net. Chesh watched, refusing to help them. She hated this. Seeing him so helpless. Two men grabbed on to Arria's arm so he couldn't go anywhere. "Where are we going to put him?" One of the crew members asked.
"Back in the gods damned ocean would be nice!" He snapped without really meaning too. His tail felt too heavy and too dry. He tried to struggle against the men, but being out of water was starting to take it's toll.

"You can put him where we store the fish." Robert said. They stored the fish basically a pool that they could store still live fish in till they got back to the harbor. It would open up to the ocean but they usually had the fish in a net. "But get something to make sure he doesn't swim off."
