Eric looked over her shoulder. "Well?"
Time After Time (One on One) {OPEN}
"It's…it's a professional alchemy set," She breathed in disbelief. "Not a full one though. The other half must be in the other suitcase…Kathleen wasn't lying!"
"Whoa!" He said, shocked and confused. "…What's alchemy?"
"It's like…magic, but with science. Kind of like what I can do. The theory that all magic can be boiled down to science," She explained, taking out a couple test tubes filled with a swirling, lime-colored liquid. "I wonder if this is the stuff they took from Kathleen."
He shook his head. "Doubt it. If it's just scientific magic, her's wouldn't be lime green. Her aura is dark pink." He said, almost casually.
"Oh." Lulu blinked. "Wait, how do you know that?"
"Magic." Eric said, doing awkward jazz hands.
Lulu raised an eyebrow and laughed, shutting the briefcase and picking it up. "We need to go through this somewhere private."
"Oh, yeah, that… No one's at my place, if you want…?" He offered awkwardly, shifting his stance.
"Sure." She shrugged, opening the door for him. "I'll just need directions."
Eric nodded, walking out. "Fair warning, since I haven't been expecting people, it's kind of a shit show right now…"
"It's fine. My entire house is a middle eastern junkyard, so you're good," She assured with a small smile.
He smiled back. "Uh, place itself ain't much either, though."
She shrugged again, tilting her head. "Again: It's fine. I don't need a mansion to go through a briefcase."
He nodded. "Let's go, then."
They got everything back to the car, Lulu putting the briefcase under her seat and starting the engine. “Any idea what the stuff could be?”
Eric shook his head. "We're about to find out. It's a left out of here, by the way."
Lulu swung the left. “How…how did you know what color her aura was, though?”
He shrugged. "Cause I can see it."
“What do you mean you can see it?” She asked in confusion.
"Like, there's a glow around you and it's just… there?" He said, shaking his head. "I don't know, I've just always seen them."
“Oh.” She paused. “If you don’t mind…what color is mine?”
((Make it like a bright teal/lime))
"Teal, kinda lime green." He said, smiling.
“Huh.” She considered this. “Do they, like…mean anything?”
"Not that I know. Oh, right coming up."
Lulu took the right. “Have you…always been able to see those?”
Eric nodded. "Yeah, why?"
“Is…do you know anyone else who can do that?” She asked.
Eric shook his head.
“Hm.” She hummed, pulling into a cul-de-sac. “Which one is yours?”
