"Yeah, something you do seem to have a lot of, non? You are a prince, right? I'm sure your father chose your mother just for her beauty and proceeded to kick her to the curb when you were born." He taunted, looking at his claws again.
TiredOtter? One on One?
Trenton gritted his teeth. “My father would never do such a thing!” He took a threatening step towards the demon, his brown eyes narrowing. “Give back the light or meet your end!”
"Must I spell it out for you, I am immortal. And here I thought you were the real deal, smart, handsome, the works." He said lazily, floating on his back.
“It wouldn’t be smart of me to trust a demon.” Trent hissed, jabbing the torch at Blair. “All you do is lie!”
"Actually, I have been told that I am brutally truthful." He explained. "Blunt even." Blair added with a small smile that could only be described as lazy.
“Quit playing games! There are people dying. I demand you return the light.” Trent took another step towards Blair, his fists clenched.
"Hmmm…. How about…" Blair trailed off, pausing for dramatic effect. "No." He finished, his smirk displaying sharp teeth.
Trenton was furious. “You have no right to act like this!” He managed to restrain his fear enough to scold the demon.
"Hm, whatever you say, Princey." Blair teased, his personality changing almost as fast as the years do. What could he say, he had a short attention span.
Trenton was close enough now to get a good look at the demon’s eyes. And, despite himself, he lost his edge a bit. “You ought to be concerned for the welfare of the people.” His voice softened a little.
Blair raised an eyebrow. "Why would I be worried about you people, all you do is hurt each other and everyone else." He responded, referring to the never-ending wars that the human world seemed to get into.
“We care for each other too!” Trent broke eye contact quickly, shaking his head to clear it. “You act so high and mighty! Do you know the countless creatures you harm with every passing second?”
"You care for each other less then you fight. Do you really think love has a stronger impact on society then hate? Hm?" Blair shot a glare at Trenton, his gold and green eye giving off slight glow.
“Of course it does. Good always wins. The wicked suffer.” Trent seemed to now be purposely avoiding eye contact to avoid rapture. The prince had been raised on a mixture of values and fairytales. He probably couldn’t distinguish between the two of them at this point.
Blair grabbed Trenton's chin, forcing him to look him in the eyes. "Look me in the eyes and tell me to my face what you truly believe, not what you have been taught. Tell me why you humans have made this world a place worse than Hell. Tell me." He hissed.

Trenton flinched as his chin was lifted, deathly afraid of Blair’s claws. The demon’s eyes were another story. Trent could hardly form a sentence, practically paralyzed by the pretty flecks of green and gold. His heart pounded so loud he could hear it.
“I… uh…” He stammered, a little to distracted to give a response.
"Exactly," Blair growled, letting go of the human's face and transforming his claws into hands with black nail polish on them. "Pathetic. All of you, no wonder no demon wants to come and be in this world. It has monsters worse than them." He shook his head, his eyes still glowing and a sharp-toothed scowl still on his face.

(Let me just read a bit to figure out what’s going on and I’ll join!)
Sure thing!//
Trenton did his best to pull himself together after the spell was broken, a bit stunned still. He didn’t even have a biting retort to assault the demon with. What the hell just happened? The young man massaged his forehead silently, feeling dumbstruck.
Blair turned abruptly, walking towards his cave. If Trenton wanted to follow him, that was his choice, not becuase he wanted to see the pretty human, no, not at all. Blair's scorpion tail swished behind him as he walked, the tips of his folded wings giving it enough light to see him.
Trenton panicked as he saw the light fade away. “Hey! You can’t just walk away!” He ran after Blair without a moment’s hesitation, leaving his favorite sword lying on the darkened forest floor.
"Like hell, if I can't walk away, this is my forest." He yelled, still walking and not turning towards Trenton. Asshole…. Grumble, grumble, grumble…
Trenton raced after him, tripping over a branch and landing outside the cave with a glorified crash! He groaned quietly, his cheeks burning a bright pink with shame as his torch skittered across the stone floor, the flame extinguished.
Blair stomped into the large cave, his sharp claws making echoing sounds on the metal floor. He snapped his fingers, four fires lighting in separate corners of the cave.
Trent realized he’d made a massive mistake when he tried to stand up and his ankle wouldn’t support his weight. He bit his lip to prevent himself from crying out, hopping on his right foot until he could lean against the cave wall. Based on what he could see, which was very little, his ankle didn’t look broken, only sprained. His chewed his lip, stressed beyond belief knowing he couldn’t run.
Blair sighed, waiting a few moments before Trenton made a small noise. "Are you okay?" He asked, his eyes still focused anywhere but Trenton. He had to keep up the aesthetic okay!
“As if you care.” Trenton hissed through gritted teeth, having cornered himself like a wounded animal. His injured left foot hovered several inches above the ground. He leaned against the wall, glaring at the demon. “You have no right to disrespect a prince in such a way.” He continued on with his earlier rant, but it sounded a lot more forced this time as Trent attempted to distract himself from his aching ankle.
"Considering you are the one who came into my home, I would say you are disrespecting me." Blair stood up, walking towards him. "Now shut up and let me fix your foot, you idiot." He finished, pulling some bandages out of a crack in the wall.
