"Hun, I'm an immortal demon. I. Do. Not. Die." Blair repeated, rolling his eyes in irritation. The prince was adorable, but kinda annoying.

“But…” Trent finally seemed to be registering the gravity of the situation. “Then why are you keeping me here? You have no reason to do such!”

"I already told you, I don't want your army coming into my home and wrecking the place." And you're cute. His mind added on unhelpfully.

“That would only be a minor consequence of stealing the light out of the sky!” He gestured towards the ceiling. “The forest is dying, people are dying, everything is dying!” He exclaimed dramatically.

"Huh. It's almost funny. You did this to yourselves, I simply helped it move along." Blair said, snapping his fingers and turning his form into a human one.

Trenton stumbled backwards, wincing as he put too much weight on his injured foot. “We did nothing of the sort!” He hissed crossing his arms. “See how you like it when I drop dead from vitamin deficiency in your cave.” He added mutinously.

"Meh, you're more likely to pass out from seeing me eat a deer carcass." Blair waved his hands, flopping down onto a couch.

“You eat what?!” Trent paled, looking a bit ill at the thought. “Heaven almighty, I’m going to die in here…” He trailed off, looking a bit distant, his eyes wide with fear.

"Your family probably eats the same thing, just cooked. I just eat it raw. Cooking it ruins the flavour." Blair ranted. Why would someone waste their fire for cooking something?

“If humans eat raw meat we get sick and possibly die.” Trent explained. He refused to sit down, and instead stood stock still, taking care to keep his injured foot in the air. “Is that your plan? To let me die in this bug infested nightmare?” He scowled at Blair’s cave, disgusted.

"First off! My cave is not bug infested! Those are scorpions and they are adorable." He exclaimed, putting up his hand in protest. "Second off, you won't die."

“I most certainly will die! Scorpions can kill me, what you eat can kill me, the lack of proper sunlight will kill me, the lack of water will kill me, and the lack of a legitimate sleeping quarters will just kill me faster!” He listed angrily. “And it’s cold in here.” He finished, whining slightly.

Blair facepalmed. "The scorpions aren't lethal to humans, only animals. I have a spring in the corner, I have two guest rooms, and do you not see the fucking fires I have in the corners!"

“Fire doesn’t make up for proper sunlight.” The prince complained, a full on whiny pout on his face. “And that doesn’t explain how I’m going to eat.”

"I have bread, barries, and I could cook some of the meat I hunt," Blair said, closing his eyes as he felt a headache come in, a headache by the name of Trenton.

Trent’s eyes narrowed. “Wonderful. That should be pleasent enough until I perish from a vitamin deficiency after another two weeks. You’ll let me pick where I get buried, won’t you?” He sneered.

"There are multiple other ways to get vitamin D, you know." Blair said, rolling his eyes once he opened them again.

“Then I shall waste away from grief knowing my kingdom is dying!” Trenton declared, flopping down onto the couch and burying his face in between the cushions.

Blair let a small giggle escape, quickly shoving his hand over his mouth. No, he did not want his insufferable kitten laugh to ruin his aesthetic.

Trent originally planned to lie there until Blair let him go, but his head immediately shot up when he heard a squeaky giggle escape the demon’s lips. He stared blankly at him, his fluffy hair a mess. “What was that?”

"N-n-nothing!" Blair exclaimed. "You heard absolutely nothing, go back to your dramatic actions please!"

Trenton reached out his hand and cupped Blair’s cheek with it, gently turning the demon’s head to face him. “You just squeaked.” He stated, his eyes narrowed. The corner of his lip was quirked up in amusement.

"No, no, I didn't! You must have been mistaken!" Blair rushed out, his face redder than a cherry tomato. It didn't help that Trenton had Blair's face cupped in his hand!

Trent’s lips curved into a confident smirk as he analyzed Blair. Now was his chance to take control of the situation and get the hell out of this cave. “I’m a prince. I’m never wrong.” He replied softly carefully avoiding Blair’s distracting eyes.

Blair cleared his throat. "Ahem, and I'm a king, bitch." He retorted, gaining his composure and shifting his mouth into a lazy smile.

Trent pulled away abruptly once he saw his window of opportunity close. He retreated back to his section of the couch, scrunching up in the corner.

Oh thank the fucking stars. I was about to die there. He thought, giving a small stream of giggles before he realized he had done it again. "GOD FUCKING DAMN IT!"

Trent decided to switch tactics and laid down, stretching himself across Blair’s lap. “You have a nice laugh.” He beamed at Blair, trying to do what he did best, sit still and look pretty.

"Oh-okay. Get off me. I'm not letting you go." Blair said, shoving him off. If Blair had to choose one thing he hated the most… It would be others taking advantage of others.

“Ow! Watch it!” Trent whined as Blair shoved him. He wiped out off the couch, letting out a pained whimper as his wrapped foot hit the floor.
