He shook his head and smiled "you have no clue how much I want you Harper, for how long. But I can't, I'll hurt you."
Turned Around **One on One, stalkers welcome**
"Hurt me? How?" She asked, taking in his words.
"ya know how I said we all have secrets? I've got mine too." He leaned up against the opposite wall and pulled his hood over his head
"We can put them aside…" Harper trails, "Are you sad?"
"mine isn't as easy to shove aside. He shook his head and sighed, glancing up at her "I've never been more happier. Or confused."
"Want to talk about it papi?" She asks Cas.
He sighed and walked back over to the couch, laying next to her. "I'm not as normal as most think."
"If we were normal then nothing would be fun…it would be a boring perfect world." Harper sighs, grabbing Cas's hand.
He half smiled and watched as their hands intertwined "true. But that's not what I mean. I was thinking more ….unnatural.
"What's going on Castellan?" Harper asks, one of her eyebrows arching.
He flinched at the fear entering her voice but continued on "you know the story of Lucifer right? One of Gods most trusted angels was sent to hell because of what he did."
"Yeah…there is like five billion different ways of it being told." Harper says, "What's going on Cas?"
"they're kinda sorta…real." he tilted his head try to contemplate his answer
"Okay now it sound like your trying to tell me something but you don't want to tell me and yeah." Harper says really fastly, looking at Cas, "You can tell me Cas."
He nodded and kissed her hand "He's my dad. I'm the son of a demon."
She nods, "So…basically your telling me that your the son of a demon. Cool."
He looked at her confused "so you're not scared? Or disturbed?"
"Nope. I love you and that's all that matters." Harper says running a hand through Cas's hair.
He smiled softly and nudged into her hand with a low growl "and I love you." He wrapped his arms around her "I try to better, but it's hard. I've been watching you for years now. Protecting you and trying to keep you from harm. The one time I leave, you get hurt."
"Awe…It's not your fault Cas…" Harper whispers.
"no but I could've prevented it." He nuzzled into her and sighed "
'Life happens okay, so we just need to move on…I love you Cas." She says, wrapping her arms around him.
"I love you too." He drifted off to sleep, peaceful, happy to have her in his arms
It doesn't take long for Harper to drift off either. She was content.
He woke in the middle of the night and headed to the bathroom. Pulling off his sweatshirt, he reveal dark wings and scars across his chest
Harper still slept, she didn't even notice that Cas had gotten up.
He sighed continuing to stare at homework in the mirror. He turned away and headed back to the living room. He draped his sweatshirt over Harper and kissed her temple "my darling, my everything. My angel." He smiled and sat at the kitchen table. He pulled out a price of paper and pen and started to draw, not being able to sleep
Sleeping peacefully she felt the warmth of the sweatshirt, but she didn't get up.
Cas drew until the sun came up over the buildings horizon and shone into the apartment. he unfurled his dark feathered wings to warm them up in the sun and let them fall back into their natural bent position, feathers brushing the floor with a whisper. He glanced over at harper's sleeping form and smiled softly, getting up to start breakfast
Harper gently stirred starting to slightly wake up. She notices Cas's sweatshirt and she slips it on, "I know your up Cas. Good morning."
