"I have nothing planned for tonight so feel free to stop by." She states, and glances at Castellan's focused face. How can one be so focused?
Turned Around **One on One, stalkers welcome**
he nodded "thanks, sorry if this is awkward, I'm usually not the 'hey-imma-stop-by-your-house-first-time-we-meet type of guy, I swear."he said with a grin
"Don't worry, it would be awkward if my dad was here right now." Harper laughs
"He still around?" he asked, knowing parents were always a touchy topic
"Yeah, owns Parker Computers over there." She says pointing at the tall black building just across the street. "What about you?" She asks cautiously
He sighed heavily "dad was a drunk and abusive, so if he's dead, good riddance. Mom's still around, she's doing good now." his look became far away, a small smile appearing on his face
"Oh, sorry about that." Harper says sincerely. "When I was sixteen I got raped, I told my mom about it and she said good, right to my face."
"After about two weeks I started getting sick in the mornings. So my dad took me to the doctors office. Turned out I got pregnant. I gave birth and put the baby boy up for adoption. His name is Landon Green. My friend took him in and I get to see him almost every month."
His drawing ceased "you got what?" he asked softly, a dark shadow crossing his face "tell me that monster is dead." he growled, not being able to meet her in the eye
"I'm not exactly sure. I was told to leave town so I did. Either the police has him now or he is still out there doing the same thing he did to me to other girls. I came here with my Dad. He started his company up here and I went into medical school." she says, "If it weren't for my dad I would be in the same city watching the days pass, too scared to go out in public."
"Well I hope he's in hell," he said, blinking rapidly and focusing back on the drawing. "I'm surprised actually, that you trust me. I not saying that I'd hurt you or anyone. Just surprised that you'd trust a stranger after what you've been through."
"Honestly at this point I just don't care anymore. What's the point, its not like some knight in shining armor is going to save my day." She sighs
He shook his head "you should care, and you don't need a knight in shining armor to save yourself. You need an equal, one to push back when you push forward. One to challenge you until you fall and to catch you when you've tripped. You need an angel to your devil." he said, tone serious and calculating
"dang i feel like im being giving relationship advice by my dad..again." She laughs at her statement but takes interest in Cas's.
"sorry, I tend to do that, my therapist is getting in my head." he shook his head and glanced at her, nodding and the returning to the sketch with a half smile
"don't be sorry, i tend to do it too." she looks at him. Her heart beating a hundred miles per hour she got the courage to ask, "Do you want to get coffee or something this week? If your not busy and all."
He tilted his head and grinned "first my number, then a date, wow really moving this along aren't ya? I don't drink coffee, but I'll pretend to just to tag along. I'll be free this afternoon if that works?"
"Its not a date. Its only date if you make it!" Harper smacks his arm lightly, "And plus I said coffee or SOMETHING. It's not like we have to get coffee."
He laughed "fine, fine, not a date and not coffee. So what does or something mean? Like just hanging out?" He asked, still smiling
"Like food or a drink or hanging out. I don't know." She smiles at him
He nodded "I could kill for a good pie right about now." He closed his sketch book and stood, straightening his hood and grabbing his bag "when and where are meeting up? Or will it be at your place?"
((Sorry it was my birthday weekend))
"I guess we could meet at my place. How about in half an hour? And whats your favorite pie, imma bake it for you since you drew me." Harper says and hops off the bench, "Sound good?"
(aw happy Birthday!!!!)
"Yeah, sounds great! I like any fruit pie. So It's a date then." He smiled and stood, starting to walk off in the direction he came. "
(Thanks)
"Fine, its a date." She laughs. "Apple good, its the only fruit i've got right now in my house."
He nodded and smiled "my favorite actually," he turned as he spoke, walking backwards. "I'll see you then," he gave her a two finger salute and nodded, turning g around
(time skip?)
(sure)
(OK Im skipping to the house date thing.)
Harper pulls out the apple pie and sets it on the counter. She unties her apron and puts it on the hook. She looks around and glances at the apartment. It was 4:30 and Castellan could be here any moment.
He sighed, hoping he hadn't over done it with the picture. He knocked gently on the door "guess who?" He called
"Hmm, is it the electrician?" Harper asks jokingly while she opens the door, "Welcome to my small apartment, make yourself at home. I just pulled the pie out so its pretty hot."
