She followed him and nearly slipped. "Oh!"
"Uh, hey? Can we talk?"(O/O) (OPEN)
"Woah!" He breathed, "Be careful, love.."
She reached forward and grabbed his hand. "I'm trying…"
He leaned to kiss her face, then continued down.
She blushed happily and followed him, taking the same steps he took.
He wandered down the narrow passage, back hunched to keep from hitting the roof.
"Are we close to anything yet?" she asked. A drop from the low ceiling hit her shoulder and she flinched.
"I dunno," he whispered back, bending down to look at something, a collection of fox bones.
She whimpered and shifted closer to him.
"Wow," he murmured. "I wonder how old these are.."
"Are you s-sure we should keep going?"
"We don't have to," he replied, reaching to touch the skull.
She inched away from it, like it could come to life and bite her if she got too close.
"What?" He smirked. "Are you scared of it?"
"Yes…"
"Why?" He snickered.
"It's scary," she said quietly.
"It's bones," he retorted cockily.
She looked a little upset. "I know…"
He resisted the urge to roll his eyes. "Well, go ahead and leave then if you don't like it. I'm not keeping you down here,"
She took a deep breath. "No, i-it's fine."
"Sure you won't get scared?"
"No, but I have you."
Atlas just grunted. Needless to say, he was never used to anyone being so clingy. He wasn't sure if he enjoyed it or not.
Kallie bit her lip. Had she said the wrong thing?
He began to get kind of reckless, the further down they went, sliding on rock and taking haphazard leaps.
Kallie followed him slowly. "Be careful, Atlas," she suggested quietly.
Atlas shot her an impatient look. "You didn't have to follow me,"
"I wanted to," she said, slowly following his route.
He came to a steep edge, and peered down. They could hear water churning far below. "Woah.."
