The rain had lightened up by the time they arrived in front of Kallie's house. "I-I'm sorry," she whispered.
"Goodnight." Was all Atlas said in response.
Kallie got out of the car and ran into the house. As soon as she was inside, the sky opened up and it poured.
Atlas pulled out of her driveway to span the short distance back to his house. He was just relieved this was done.
It rained heavily the rest of the night and into the next morning.

Kallie was at her locker, hiding her face. Not a single student or teacher entered the school dry.
Atlas blatantly ignored her, tight lipped and silent
Eventually, she approached him. "Are you still mad at me?" she whispered.
"Yes." He grunted shortly.
A roll of thunder came from outside. Kallie looked at her shoes. "Oh…"
"You're so dramatic," he exhaled. "It's exhausting, Kallie. I haven't even known you that long."
"I'm sorry. I thought you would… I thought you would like meeting my friends…" she whispered.
"I have to go to class," he mumbled.
