The sun shone even brighter as she smiled. "Let's go!"
"Uh, hey? Can we talk?"(O/O) (OPEN)
"You.. Can like, control the weather, right?"
She blushed. "Yes. With my emotions. I try to stay happy so other people can be happy with the good weather!"
He laughed quietly. "So.. What happens if you get tickled? Or sick?"
"I'm not sure. I don't remember ever getting sick, except once in grade school."
"Hah," he breathed. "Immune system like a horse."
She blushed again and a thin cloud started to cover the sun.
"Eh. Whats your first period class?"
"English. Yours?" she asked, the breeze returning and blowing her hair.
"Um," he breathed in deep, brushing a hand through his hair, "Speech,"
"That's the same hallway! We can walked together!" The sun returned and she grinned.
"Okay." He replied very simply. A smirk was settling on his lips– the closest he gets to a smile not induced by dirty jokes.
She smiled happily at him. "Do you need someone to help you with your car?" she asked.
"Probably." He laughed sparsely.
"My father can help, if you like!" she suggested. "He's very good with cars."
"Ah, thanks. What's your name again?"
"Kallie. Yours?"
"Atlas," he answered, drawing his hand through his hair again. He looked overdue for a shower.
"Right!" she chirped. Her steps were so light and carefree, one might have called them skips.
Atlas gave her curious looks– he wasnt used to such constant lightness.
She happened to glance over at him when he gave her a look. "What?" she asked innocently.
"You're so happy it makes me want to vomit," Atlas replied.
Almost instantly, the sun went behind a large cloud. "Oh…"
"I mean, geez." He looked up, "I'm just not on your level,"
"I can help you be happier!" she suggested with a somewhat forced smile.
Atlas gave her a skeptical look.
"What? I can at least try!" she insisted.
"I bet five bucks it won't work." Atlas dared with a lopsided smirk.
"I don't like to bet," she replied softly.
"Why?" He replied.
