(Well, there was this wall Josh was talking/thinking about…)
Under Seven Minutes // Private RP
She leaned in. She leaned in. Stood up on her toes and leaned towards him, eyes closing, mouth falling open———and the phone forced them apart.
Josh tore himself away, heart pounding with wild abandon. “You should—You should get that.”
(can I shove them together and shove them against it?)
Laura wanted to pull her hair out. This was so frustrating!
“Yea-yeah…” she stammered, voice slick with need and desire. She took her phone out and looked at the caller ID, sighing when she saw it was an unknown number. “I don’t know this number.”
But if I ever encounter the owner… I will tear them to pieces.
(FLUFFING HELL)
(🤣🤣)
Josh stuffed his hands into his pockets before he could reach for her again, sighing slowly. “Do you recognize the number at all?”
God, why wouldn’t the universe let them kiss?
(Because the universe is cruel and hates us all… glares at Chogiwae and Topaz)
(raises hand speedily I agree)
“I don’t,” Laura sighed. “The universe is probably laughing at me.”
It definitely was. Why wouldn’t it? She was just about to kiss him and—ugh. Laura wanted to kill the Fates.
(Lol, sorry guys)

“I don’t,” Laura sighed. “The universe is probably laughing at me.”
It definitely was. Why wouldn’t it? She was just about to kiss him and—ugh. Laura wanted to kill the Fates.
“Well, the universe can go——“ Josh cut himself off, coughing awkwardly. “Yeah. Um. What did you say you wanted to do?”
Laura scratched her cheek.
“Well, I wanted to—“ she cut herself off, cheeks turning pink before she changed the direction. “Ride the swings again?”
You could sit in my lap while we do, Josh thought, cheeks reddening significantly. “That—That sounds good,” he answered instead. “Let’s do that.”
(HOLY SHIZAM)
Laura nodded, walking over to the swing, Josh’s sleeve in her hold. Then she paused.
“I’m a bit hungry, too,” she admitted, turning around. “I thought I’d eat something at the party, but we left so now I’m a little… yeah.”
"We could go and get something to eat?" Josh suggested, eyes flickering over her beautiful features. "Or—–"
No. Bad idea.
He glanced away, swallowing. "Never mind."
“No, no, tell me,” Laura breathed, nervous from the way he was looking at her. “I want to know now.”
"It was stupid…."
Josh tugged anxiously on the strap of his watch. "If you wanted, you could come over and we could order a pizza? I know it's late and that sounds really sketchy, which is why I wasn't going to say it."
Laura scratched her cheek nervously. “I honestly would have said yes had it been any other day,” she admitted. “But I can’t stick around for long. My dad expects me to be back soon.”
"Right, yeah," Josh replied quickly, looking away a second time. Did I make her uncomfortable? "Maybe another time."
Definitely another time. A time when I wouldn’t jump him.
“I’d like that, actually,” she found herself saying. “Spending time with you like that. I like it.”
A blush seeped across Josh's cheeks, a dark cherry stain against his creamy skin. "Oh. I, uh, like the idea too."
Laura grinned.
“I know,” she winked. “Why wouldn’t you? I’m extremely enjoyable.”
Josh's blush only deepened. He nodded quickly, rubbing anxiously at the back of his head.
As much as Laura wanted to spend more time with Josh, she knew it wouldn’t be a good idea when all she wanted to do was jump him and kiss him breathless. She couldn’t do that to him or to herself.
“Well, I think I should head home now,” Laura lifted her leg and began to wear her heels again. “It was fun, Josh.”
“This was fun..” he echoed, disappointment mingling with each syllable. “Goodnight, Laura. I’ll see you tomorrow.”
The girl gave him a small smile, hopping off the swing and stretching.
“Text me when you get home,” she told him. “Okay? The second you get home. No later than that.”
“Not a single second later.” A soft, slightly pained smile curved Josh’s lips. “I promise. Are you okay to walk home alone?”
