Theodosia nods her head. "Yes, I am. It is so lovely out today." The flowers are blooming, the birds are singing, and the sun is high in the sky. What's not to love. "Have you had much of a chance to enjoy the nice weather?"
Victorian Era Romance (O/O Open)
Miguel shook his head, "No not necessarily…I've been working all day, as usual."
Theodosia's face heats up. She should have known that. "Do you feel like you are being overworked?"
Miguel paused to think about it, "Occasionally, most of the time the work I do isn't that bad."
"I can ask Richard to lesson the work load for everyone. Does anyone else feel overworked?" Theodosia asks, frowning slightly.
Miguel smiled at Theodosia, "No need to ask to lessen the workload, Lady Theodosia, we all handle our work quite well and none of us are usually overworked."
"Are you certain? I would hate to think that all of the chores leave no time to relax." Theodosia looks over to him, her expression concerned. She would prefer to do at least some of the work herself but her husband doesn't approve of that.
"I am very certain, it is no problem to us at all." Miguel replied.
She nods her head slightly. "If there ever is a problem, please like me know."
"Of course," Miguel replied, "How are Addie and Pearl doing? Well I assume?"
"Addie is enjoying a nap at the moment," Theodosia laughs lightly, gesturing towards where the dog is sleeping. "Pearl is going wonderfully as well, thank you for asking."
"That's fantastic, glad to know you all are doing well." Miguel responded, "What about Master Richard? How is work going for him?'
"Work is stressful but it has been going well." Theodosia looks up to the sky as she thinks. "He has a business trip planned for sometime next month."
"Oh?" Miguel said, surprised, "Where is he going? Anywhere, new?"
“Nowhere new. He hasn’t told me where he will be going but I know that much,” Theodosia sighs quietly.
Miguel didn't reply, Theodosia sounded a bit sad, was there something going on? He didn't know but he'd rather not question Theodosia and Richards relationship too much.
“Sorry, I made this depressing, didn’t I?” Theodosia offers a small apologetic smile. “Shall we talk about something more pleasant?” As long as there’s a subject change, she’ll be happy.
Miguel smiles back, "Sure, What would you like to talk about?"
“What do you like to do in your spare time, Miguel?” She figures that hobbies are a safe topic.
"Well, I mostly read and occasionally garden," Miguel replied after thinking for a moment.
“Are you the one who plants all of the flowers in the garden?” She asks, smiling. The flowers are truly lovely so she appreciates them.
Miguel lightly blushed, and turned to look at some few, "Yes, I am."
“They are beautiful. Thank you for taking the time to make the garden so wonderful. It is my favorite place on the entire property,” Theodosia’s smile brightens.
"I'm glad that you like them," Miguel says with a smile.
“I appreciate the effort you put into it.” Theodosia folds her hands and sets them in her lap.
"Thank you," Miguel turned back to look at Theodosia, "And you? What are your hobbies?"
“Oh, just sewing and a little painting.” Having tea and playing piano and singing for her husband’s friends don’t count as hobbies and her eyes.
"I've seen some of your work, it's all very nice," Miguel commented.
“Thank you,” Theodosia says with a polite smile, a slight blush creeping onto her face. “Do you know much about horses?” She asks suddenly.
"Not too much, why do you ask?" Miguel answered, confused.
