"My vote's on the relaxing."

She clapped her hands together. "Relax now, head out after lunch?"

He nodded, scooting to the left so that she had room to sit on the couch.

She flopped down onto the couch, half laying in his lap, and smiled up at him.

He smiled. "This is a new view. I'm not looking up for once."

Manon laughed, shoulders shaking with the movement. "I could say the same in reverse. I am not looking down."

"Well, yeah." He began to lightly run his hands through her hair as Jaiden and Emma began playing with two dolls.

Her cheeks darkened, but she leaned into his touch almost imperceptibly. "You look pretty good from this angle, too."

"You look beautiful either way."

Her eyes widened. "You are trying incredibly hard to make your way up that scale."

"I think I'm doing a pretty good job," he said, grinning ever so slightly
Emma looked up from her doll, squinting at her big brother. "I think you two are in love."

Her face turned a bright red, which she attempted to hide by covering her face with her hands. "Uh-"

Eli simply smiled, not confirming or denying it

Is she right? Isn't it too soon for that? She was quiet, trying to let her blush die down.

Emma continued. "I hope you fall in love. I like you."

"I-I hope so too." She said quietly, voice muffled by her hands.

That made Eli blush madly, his hands freezing up.

Emma laughed. "You guys are funny. How do you make your faces turn so red?"
"Red!" Jaiden echoed, giggling to herself.

"It is-uh-a thing that happens in response to certain emotions." Manon said.

Eli was still too shocked to speak.
"Does it hurt?" she asked

"No. Sometimes it feels nice, and sometimes it feels funny."

She then asked a bombshell of a question. "Do you love Eli?"

Manon was quiet for a moment, and then- "I might. I am not one hundred percent sure yet though."

She then turned to Eli. "Do you love Manon?"
Despite the blush, he answered without hesitation. "Yeah. Maybe I'm coming on a little strong, but yes."

She lowered her hands, looking up at him with slightly wide eyes.

"Then you are in love!" She jumped up and down excitedly. Jaiden copied the motion, although she didn't knwo why she was jumping. "When will you two have a baby?"
Eli laughed. "You're moving a little too fast, Emma. We only met a few days ago."

"Eli has his hands full with you two." Manon pointed at the two of them. "And I am too busy for a baby. For now at least. Time will tell."

"Aw, I want a cousin…"

Manon laughed lightly. "Slow down, cher. Things like that take time, and are a big decision."
