"We haven't even had our first kiss yet," he said, going back to playing with her hair.

"Mmmm, we might have to do something about that, no?"

He smiled lightly, blushing again. "I'd rather not have the oo's and ahs of my two little sisters when it happens," he said

"Another time, then." She reached up, poking his nose with a smile.

He nodded, returning the smile

Her phone buzzed as she received a text, but she left it where it was on the arm of the couch, ignoring it in favor of studying Eli.

He glanced over at phone, momentarily distracted. "You need it?

"No. It is probably just work information I can check later."(Spoiler alert, it AIN'T)

He shrugged. "Alright." His eyes were still slightly bloodshot, giving them an ugly red tint.

"I…should apologize though. For letting my temper get the best of me earlier." She said quietly, so that only he could hear.

"Only thing you should apologize for is not hitting her again," he joked, trying to downplay the situation.

"I had you to focus on." She said, closing her eyes.

"It's fine, really. I just wanna put all of that behind me. For now, at least."

"Alright then. We need a new topic of conversation, any input?"

"Hm…well, what do you typically do when you're not working?"

"Volunteer work, or 'shopping', just without actually buying anything." Her eyes lit up suddenly. "And surfing! Surfing and swimming!"

He tilted his head. "I've never done it."

"Well I will just have to teach you then! It is amazing."

"If you want me to drown, sure."

She furrowed her brows. "Why would you drown?"

"I can't swim."

Manon frowned. "That is a pity. We could have had fun."

He shrugged helplessly.

"We will find something else to do together." She said, determined.

"Oh, yeah, for sure. I mean, I do like the beach, I just can't go into the deep waters."

"Beach then! And aquariums, and the marine research center…."

He smiled. "Basically anything with water."

"I like the water! The ocean, and sea animals. My love for sharks has already been established."

He nodded over to where the stuffed shark lay. "It's what first brought us together."

She smiled fondly up at him. "Ah, the sharks once again prove to be near gods."
